Song: Higher by With Confidence (Their new album plus Real Friends' new album is basically all I've been listening to lately)
---------------------
The van has basically become a second home and I'm loving every second of it.
Sometimes it can be a little cramped and all you want is a nice bed to stretch out on, but being in the van, on the road with amazing people, you forget about the space. And on our way to the next venue, it's just like that.
Tyler and I, of course, are in the last row, deep under a couple of blankets and pillows. Tyler's leaning against the arm rest and my back is against his chest. We were going to watch a movie, but we settle for good conversation instead.
Evan decides to break out the story about how he met his girlfriend, which led to Benji talking about how he met Lucy. Benji and Lucy's story felt similar to mine and Tyler's.
Fate.
It's actually funny.
The way Lucy looks at Benji feels familiar. The way he looks at her is no different. They're a couple I can't imagine seeing apart.
I'm afraid I'm growing attached to Tyler too easily. It's rare we're alone on this tour, but when we're apart, I find myself thinking about him. I can't wait to see him again. He's my first thought when I wake up and my last before I sleep.
Has it even been two months?
We're almost halfway done with the tour after the next two shows. I don't want it to end, but I know it will sooner or later.
I pick Tyler's hand up, the one that's splayed over my stomach, and twist the silver band around his pointer finger. Then he curls his fingers around mine and kisses my forehead. I smile and melt further against his body. "What are you thinking about?" He asks in a whisper.
I breathe out. "The chocolate you think is hidden in the side pocket of your backpack."
His laugh rumbles against my back. "Always stealing my chocolate." He shifts and I hear the sound of the zipper.
My lips curve when he dangles a brand new pack of Twix in front of my face. "Sharing is caring," I tease and grab it from his hand.
"I don't share," he says.
I tear open the package and pull one out. "You'll learn." Then I take a bite before lifting it up for Tyler. "See, I'm sharing."
He doesn't hesitate to take a bite and shake his head.
I grin up at him and focus back on the half Twix bar in my hand.

I dip my finger in the cupcake frosting again and swipe it across Tyler's cheek while giggling.
Tyler sits across from me on my bed with his legs crossed and he's just letting me put frosting all over his face at two in the morning. We got to the hotel a couple of hours ago, but sleep is non existent so I had room service bring up cupcakes. They know the band well here, so of course they didn't have a problem with it.
He does have a guitar in his lap that he was playing, but then I had to ruin the moment with cupcake frosting. "Is Bea still with Mason?" He asks while trying to smother a laugh.
My gaze flits to his for a second before falling on his cheek again. "I guess so. They were just going to watch a movie with Evan."
"We all know what that means," he mumbles and starts picking at the guitar strings again.
