Chapter 4- Particle Accelerator

"C'mon Raven! You'll regret not going" Iris pleaded, hoping I'd change my mind about not going to the particle accelerator opening next week with her and Barry

"That's what my mother said about prom and I got the whole punch bowl dropped on me" I said with a smirk

"Well this is different" Iris said stubbornly

"If I say yes, will you let me get back to work?" I said, picking up the most important file on my desk right now

"Yup"

"Fine I'll go"

"Yay! Thank you, I need someone else to not understand all the science" Iris said before leaving CCPD

I rolled my eyes at her and went upstairs to go find my younger brother. I walked into my brother's office and realized he wasn't here yet.

"Damnit Barry. Stop being late all the time" I muttered under my breath as I pulled out my phone.

I called Barry and he picked up on the fourth ring.

"Hey I know I'm late-" Barry started

"And I need you to do sciencey things I don't understand" I said, trying not to sound whiny.

"Really Rave? Sciencey?" Barry asked in a mocking tone

"There's a reason why I'm a cop and not a scientist"

"I'll be there in 10" Barry promised

"Make it five and I'll make sure Singh doesn't get mad"

"Deal"

"Run Barry" I said before ending the call

I sit in Barry's office for a while, hoping Captain Singh doesn't realize that neither me or my brother are working. Five minutes pass and Barry comes running into the office.

"So what do you need?" Barry asks as I start going on about the case I'm working on.

"I can't believe I let you two talked me into going" I said as I followed Barry and Iris to the particle accelerator thing.

"Please, you were always going to this, you just didn't know until last week" Iris joked

I chuckled. She's not wrong. Once Iris has her mind set on something, she gets it, even if it's as a small as me going to this event.

We got there and started listening to Harrison Wells' speech. After a while, out of the corner of my eye, I thought I saw a man I haven't seen since I was fifteen.

Leonard Snart.

He looked back at me and gave me his signature smirk before walking away. I followed him. No way I was going to let him get away. He's the reason why I became a cop.

As he walked, Leonard would glance over his shoulder, almost as if he was making sure I was still behind him. Leonard then turned down an alley. Part of me knew this could easily be a trap, but I still followed him.

"Freeze Snart!" I yelled, pulling out my handcuffs

Good thing I ignored Iris and brought them.

"Little Raven now a cop. How ironic." Leonard said sarcastically, raising his hands above his head.

I walked closer to him, ready to put this man behind bars.

"Just answer me one thing. Do they know?" Snart asked

"Know what?" I asked

"About your powers" Snart elaborated

"That's none of your business" I said

"Too bad" Snart said before everything went black.

"You okay Raven?" I heard Joe ask

My head was throbbing. Leonard wasn't alone earlier.

"Oh yeah, just let the reason why I'm a cop get away" I said sarcastically

"You saw Snart?" Joe asked

"Yeah. He asked about my powers" I admitted

Joe and Henry are the only two who know. Not even my little brother knows.

"What did you tell him?"

"Nothing. Look I'm gonna go home. If I'm needed for anything, just call me" I said as I got off the ground.

I walked home. Thinking about why Leonard wanted to know who else knew about my powers. Maybe he was planning on kidnapping me and forcing me to use my powers to help him.

I got home and went to the roof of my apartment building. It had started raining, but I didn't care. I used my powers to keep the rain from falling in me. I always go here to think. I walked near the edge and closed my eyes.

After a while I opened my eyes and headed back inside. Before I got too far from the edge, there was a bright light coming from the particle accelerator and a blast wave heading my way. When the wave hit me, I fell off of the roof, falling nine stories.

So this is how I'm going to die.
