"Lenny! What are you doing?" I asked as Lenny dragged me out of the house.
"I'm taking you somewhere nice" Lenny said over his shoulder.
"We only go somewhere nice to rob it. Are we going on a heist?" I asked
Lenny shook his head and started leading me into the woods. I stopped guessing where Lenny was trying to take me and just let it be a surprise. We keep walking through the woods and I take in the beauty of the nature around us. I've always loved being out in the wilderness, it's one of the places were I feel the most powerful. As we walk to our destination, I notice that the sun is starting to set. Lenny stopped when we reached a small cliff with a view of a lake.
"I figured this would be a good spot for you to charge your powers" Lenny explained as he glanced at me
"It's a perfect spot" I said before kissing his cheek
I sat down on the ground and placed my hands flat in front of me and shut my eyes. I felt the energy from all of the plants and all of the animals that were in the woods surrounding me and I siphoned some of that energy for myself, letting it fill me and power my magic. Once I opened my eyes, I saw Lenny sitting in front of me.
"Got enough?" Lenny asked
"Yes" I said, smiling
I started to stand up, but Lenny stopped me.
"There is one more reason why I brought you out here" Lenny explained
"Oh?" I asked, raising an eyebrow
Lenny smirks and pulls box out of his signature coat pocket. He turns the box so the opening faces me and opens the box. Inside is an engagement ring.
"Marry me?" Lenny asks
I burst out into a smile
"Of course"
Maybe my future isn't going to be like my visions. The way Lenny proposed wasn't. Maybe this means that the man from my dream the other night isn't my father and that I won't join him.
