Dear readers,
It's been nearly a year since I last posted, and there have been considerable changes.
First of all, I thought I'd let you guys know that I decided on the name Kilian. I'm no longer living with my sister. I never found a job so after Christmas I moved back home. I still haven't found a job, mostly because I haven't applied to any since returning. Regardless, things are looking up - I started taking anti-depressant medication four months ago. I've been on 150mg a day for a few weeks now.
Even when I was on a low dosage, I could feel a difference in my overall mood. I haven't been crying anywhere near as often, and the only side-effect that I experience is dry-mouth. The dry-mouth is annoying, but so long as I have lots of water and mints or gum, then it's fine. Besides, it's bad when I have a dosage change and when I change when I take it, but after a while it gets to be less noticeable.
Anyway, I've been having a pretty good week. I went to see Captain America: Civil War in theatres, where I struck up a conversation with a stranger for the first time in more than a year. I've missed meeting new people. We're now mutuals on Tumblr. I got my hair cut.
I don't know if I mentioned my last haircut but I don't think I did. I may not have even mention the one before that. I had long hair, then I got an undercut with designs in the shaved part (The designs turned out to be a bad idea. They looked good at first. If I cut my hair often it would have probably been fine, but I don't, so the shaved parts grew out very awkwardly.) Other than the designs, I definitely want to get an undercut again when I eventually grow my hair out long enough. Five months later I got my hair cut again, and I also dyed my hair bright red. I'll add a picture.
This was seven months ago. This cut grew out pretty awkwardly. It didn't look bad, per se, just kind of strange. The red faded to a nice coral-y colour. Anyway, I was waiting for my hair to grow out enough that I could get it cut like the following picture without having any of the colour left.
This one isn't a picture of me. I'd show you one of me, but unfortunately my webcam is not currently working and I'm not certain of where my camera is.
The next day (Wednesday) I went to the second-hand store (the one near where my parents live is awesome) and got three new books and three new dresses. I was really lucky to find so many new books because they mostly have French ones. I got The Help by Kathryn Stockett, Heart of the Matter by Emily Giffin, and this little book called Fishes with pictures (and information) of a bunch of different kinds of fish. After we got back I did something I haven't done in ages.
I actually went for a walk! No one was forcing me either. I WANTED to go for a walk. It wasn't a long one, because it was very sunny and I forgot to wear sunscreen, but still. Me. Going outside. For a walk. I even visited my aunt and chatted for an hour or two.
Today (AKA yesterday because it's 3am) I woke up at like 1pm and got ready for my driving lesson. Yeah, you read me right, I'm FINALLY taking driving lessons (And I'm only the second of my siblings to have a driving permit). It was my third lesson. I find driving to be pretty easy. It's slightly harder when you're in the city but not by that much.
Tomorrow (AKA today) we're all going to PEI to visit my brother and sister. It'll be my parents' 35th (or something) anniversary and it'll be nice to stay there for the long weekend. I'm looking forward to it.
P.S. My hair is fwoofier than yours.
