Tipsy Fun

I sat at a makeup table, curling ringlets into my silk black hair. I had decided on a light glittery purple for my eyeshadow since the dress Jordan picked had a pale purple waist band and her bridesmaids dresses were that same pale purple. Jordan sat a table beside me while Chey did her hair. She had dyed her hair blonde on top and black below and they hung in loose curls around her face, cascading down her back. She looked gorgeous. I grabbed her shaky hand and squeezed it, meeting her hazel eyes.

"You look stunning." I softly

Said. Tears welled up in her eyes.

"Thank you so much." She smiled. I walked out, shutting the door behind me. I walked down the hall to check on Andy. I peered inside the door to see Andy helping Ash with his tie. Alex hadn't seen me all day and when he spotted me he was dead set on talking. I closed the door and walked a little down the empty hall. My heel steps clicked and echoed off the wall. I heard a door close behind me and smiled. I was spun into strong, caring arms. I looked up into Alex's deep brown eyes.

"You look amazing babe." I blushed. He looked so handsome in a tux. Gahhh I look forward to the day we get married. Wait no stop that Liz. You can't go around wanting to go to another wedding before you even finish being a bridesmaid at one.

"You look better." I smiled up at him. He wrapped his arms around me tightly and I laughed.

"Okay don't squeeze so hard. I've had five bottles of water and need to pee so bad." He loosened up but didn't quite let go.

"I'll see you at the ceremony?" I asked.

"Yes. I love you." He looked down at me. Gosh. Grow legs. GROW.

"I love you too Alex." He kissed me and released me from his hold. I waited till he disappeared behind the door he'd come from and leaned against the wall. I took my hands and placed them to the sides of my face, grinning like a psychopath. I really truly loved this boy. With all my heart. Why won't he just marry me already?

After the ceremony came the dinner. I was dying to make the big toast. I know. I know. That's the best mans job. But come on. I really want to. I waited till Jordan and Andy had stopped eating before I stood, straightening my dress out and picking up my empty wine glass. I tapped on the side lightly with a fork. Nobody stopped talking. Nobody noticed. I took my heels off and climbed up into my chair. I tapped louder and people began to look at me puzzled. I quit my vicious attack on the glass after a crack spread down the center and set it down carefully. Oops. I cleared my throat and one of the waiters handed me the microphone.

"Hello everyone. Im Andy's sister Liz. Now I know you guys are probably like 'why is she doing the toast? where's the best man?' I just really wanted to do this toast. Andy has been my heart since I could remember. We've done so much together it's not even funny. I'm sure we gave mom and dad so many heart attack and I can just hear mom now telling us how much trouble we were in for tag teaming up to get into the cookie jar." I smiled at Andy. "I knew from the moment he saw Jordan they were going to be something. Now mind you it took a whole lot of pep talks and mean words to get him to ask but I managed to get them together. But I'm not gonna stand here and tell you guys I'm the reason they are what they are. They've had to overcome obstacles and deal with things and I wasn't the one holding either one of their hands during the journey. I love you both and I wish you guys the best during this all. I know you'll be fine." I stepped down, handing the mic back and earning applause. Alex leaned over.

"That was one of the best speeches I've heard." He whispered in my ear. I swear if that was sarcasm.

"Thank you so much. I love you Liz." Andy hugged me tightly.

"I love you too."

Me and Hunter walked over to the guys table and I sat down on Alex's lap. We both were totally buzzed and just murdered the dance floor. What? Judge me and you die. No I'm joking but seriously. It was bad dancing.

"I want another drink." I whined, throwing my head back.

"I heard they have some strong moonshine up at the bar. Want some?" Hunter grinned.

"You can have ours. He won't drink his." Ashley pointed to CC. I laughed.

"Wuss." I grabbed CC's and Hunter grabbed Ashley's. I threw my head back and gulped the bittersweet liquid down my throat fast and Hunter followed. I winced a little at the burning heat that engulfed my throat in liquid fire but I didn't reach for my Pepsi. I will prove to the guys I'm not a wuss like them. All the guys gapped at me.

"What? It's just liquor." I smirked. I turned my body to face Alex. I was really starting to feel those drinks now.

"I don't see the fuss. It's just moonshine." His eyes sparkled in the moonlight. The night around us was alive with activity. He smiled tenderly at me. I bent and grabbed his face, placing a kiss to his lips carefully. I withdrew and laughed as he ran his tongue over his lips.

"You taste like vodka." He made an awful face playing around.

"Sorry. You know it's my drink of choice." I stood up, wobbly and began crossing the room over to Jordan. I stumbled and to be honest I was confused as to why until I remembered the three mixed drinks, four vodka shots, the one beer and the moonshine. I made it to Jordan and sat down across from her and Andy.

"You're drunk aren't you?" she laughed. I opened my mouth to protest but she placed her hand over it. "Nope. I don't wanna hear it." She stood up and made her way over to me.

"Donn do thaaaa." I began slurring my words. Wow they really hit me hard. The room began spinning. I noticed that Hunter was on top of the table I just left dancing. Harry grabbed her and carried her to the exit. Thankfully it was only the bands and some friends. Our family would've been embarrassed. I started over to Alex but he wasn't there. Andy picked me up and threw me over his shoulder.

"Ill just take you to Alex. You won't make it to the door." Jordan laughed. I'm really drunk. I wanna touch land.

"Andy I wanna touch land. It's to high up I'm gonna fall."

Andy put me down outside. The grass had dew already forming on it and dirt stuck to my feet. I laid down in it, rolling around before Alex came around the corner with Vic and Jack.

"What are you letting her do?" Alex picked me up. I went limp and Alex tightened his hold on my so I didn't slip. I began laughing for no reason at all.

"I'm so drunk. Drunk drunk drunk. Oh so drunk." I sang, watching Harry carry Hunter who was also laughing, across the parking lot to their car.

"Alright. We're leaving. Come on." Alex threw me over his shoulder like Andy had and began walking to our car. I'm going to have the worst hangover ever.
