Something dark. Something painful

"So this is it huh?" I said as we walked inside the club where the party was suppose to be. Wow! This place was huge and beautiful. Purple curtains hung all around the room tied back from the booths all around the place with white silk ties. The only lights were the ones shining on the stage over the DJ. Black lights covered the rest of the space in a dim haze.

"Yup. It's great huh? Best place to be." Ashley said draping his arm around my shoulder.

"So lets get a booth shall we?" I said motioning them to a booth in the corner with a fancy curtsy.

They piled in laughing at my movement. I knew just how to bring life to any party. This place was packed. It smelled a lot like sweat and liqueur. Not a good mixture in crowd like this. One where you're pack elbow to elbow and get touched in places you only wished didn't exist. I sighed and look around for people I recognized. Anybody would do I just needed entertaining. Aha! I spotted Danny. Yes Danny Worsnop. I jumped up and ran as fast as I could in my heels. I ran smack into him spilling his drink all over me and causing him to laugh as I slipped and fell to the floor.

"Ahh, the lovely Liz biersack. How do you always end up covered in my drinks?" He laughed as he reached down and pulled me up. My dress, thank god it was black, was soaked but hey that's what napkins are for.

"I'm sorry I get a little to excited when I see you. I just tinkle everywhere." I said laughing.

"Well it's great to see your beautiful face. I'm gonna go sit with the guys." He said motioning to Andy and the boys with his hand, "and you darling need to get cleaned up."

I blushed and headed toward the bar. The bartender has to have some napkins I thought.

"Excuse me but do you have some napkins. I kinda had a drink spilled on me." I smiled and looked up meeting the eyes of a guy who was gorgeous. If looks could kill, I'd be dead on the floor by the time he responded.

"Yes I do gorgeous and by the way it's not that bad. It just looks like you couldn't reach the bathroom but this should get it off." He smiled. Oh gosh! It was so perfect and white. His eyes were a pale green, filled with an energetic haze of blue. He flipped his black hair out of his eyes making my heart melt.

"Why thank you very much sir. I believe you saved my life." I smiled.

" no problem. Has anyone told you how determined your eyes look. There so pretty. Kind of like pale rain drops but they drew me in. You have a dark past though and you have a shield up don't you?" He asked lowly.

"Ehh, yea you could say that. Not something I would wanna discuss around open ears and not really something that I could have stopped." I replied staring at my feet. I felt my heart ache knowing what I was referring to was a secret far worse than anything. Not a small one like I kissed a guy under the bleachers but a huge one that hovered over me like a dark cloud. It scarred my soul horribly. Like a burning slash had ran straight through, ripping it to shreds.
