Chapter 7 - Alice

Damon's P.O.V.

This couldn't be real. Alice was here. Alice! Why was she here? How? What was I supposed to do now? I had the perfect plan to get Elena. And then Alice came. Was she expecting us to get back together?

"Why are you here?" I asked in not such a happy way. 

"I missed you." She grinned. 

"Well, you shouldn't have left." I said with hurt in my voice. 

"Damon, you know I had to." She looked anywhere but my eyes.

"No, you didn't." I got angry. I thought I wouldn't need to be reminded of that part of my past.

"I had to. Look, Damon, can we talk?"

"Is there something we need to talk about?"

"Yes! Damon, I'm back!"

"You're a little late, don't you think?" I laughed humorlessly. 

"Damon, be nice to her!" Aria finally spoke. I ignored her.

"You broke my heart." I stared at her with no emotion. 

"And I'm so sorry. Hey, come outside. We can talk there."

I opened the door and went outside. Alice followed.

"I am so sorry. I know you can't forgive me now, but you will, one day. My father was a vampire hunter. I had to leave. He was after both of us."

"So?"

"It was for your own good. I just put you in danger."

"But I like danger, don't you remember?" I smirked. 

She didn't speak for a minute.

"You've changed." She smiled.

"Yes. And you're the same."

She smiled. Her big brown eyes were so beautiful. But I felt nothing towards her. 

"I missed you so much." She whispered as she leaned in. 

"You broke my heart." I pushed her away and went inside. She was just standing there, disappointed. I poured myself some bourbon and went to my room. Aria started asking questions but I ignored her. She finally left. Where was Elena by the way? I called her.

"Where are you? Are you okay?" 

"I'm fine. I'm at Elliot's."

"Who?"

"Elliot. He's Aria's friend."

"I'm coming."

"Hey, you don't--"

I hung up. I used my vampire speed to go down the stairs and went outside. Alice was still there. She walked towards me but I got in my car. I had much more important things to do. I knew where that jerk lived. I didn't feel like knocking, so I just jumped in from one of the windows.

"Damon!" Elena screamed. She was laying on a big bed with him. 

"Come on, we're going home." I grabbed her arm.

"Hey, wait, I hurt my leg!"

She didn't stand up. I took her in my arms and carried her out the door.

"Elena, are you okay?" Ugh, make him shut up!

"I'm fine, Elliot. I'm sorry about his behavior. I'll see you tomorrow!" She said as we were going down the stairs.

"No, you won't." I told her.

"Damon! You're not my dad, you don't tell me what to do!"

"I'm not your dad but I'm Damon. And I do tell you what to do."
