Chapter 11 - Possibility

~Two months later~

Elena's P.O.V.

Damon was always next to me. These past two months we almost hadn't left the house. Stefan left because he couldn't stand us anymore. We had sex non-stop. Damon always cooked for me. I didn't know he was an amazing cook. He was the best boyfriend I could ask for.

I woke up in an empty bed. I smelled pancakes. Oh, it was pancake Sunday! I took a quick shower and went downstairs.

"Good morning, beautiful." He kissed me while smiling.

"Good morning, sexy."

"It's pancake Sunday."

"Yup." He was done. He gave me a plate with pancakes and I took a bite. It was so tasty but then suddenly my stomach refused it. I ran to the nearest bathroom and threw up. Damon came with his vampire speed.

"What happened?"

"Nausea."

"But why?"

"I don't know."

He held my hair as I was throwing up. When I was finished he left and I brushed my teeth at least five times. I came out of the bathroom and laid on the sofa.

"You're not eating?"

"I can't. Maybe later."

"Okay." He laid on top of me. We kissed but then I got nausea once again.

"Okay, something's really wrong." He said as I threw up in the toilet. 

"Maybe you should pay Meredith a visit."

"Just let me shower again."

"Okay." He said as he left.

Once I was finished I put on my white jeans and a black top. With that, a leather jacket Damon had bought me and black boots. I went downstairs.

"I'll be back soon."

"Do you want me to come?"

"No, I'll be fine."

"Okay, if you need anything just call. I love you."

"Love you too."

I left the house. After all this time I smelled the fresh air again. I got in my car and stopped at a market. I bought a pregnancy test. I couldn't believe what I was doing. Could it be? Could I be pregnant? But Damon's a vampire. It's not possible. I got in the small bathroom and did as the instructions said. I got back in the car and waited. It was about time. I opened my eyes and saw two lines. That meant it was positive! But wait, maybe it was a mistake. I had to go to Meredith.

I arrived at the hospital and asked for Meredith. She sat me on a bed and I told her what happened. She said I needed to take a test and so she put some kind of blue gel on my stomach. We both looked at the monitor.

"There it is. You're pregnant!" She said.

"How is it possible?" I whispered.

"What?"

"Nothing. I'm just so happy." I forced a smile. And then billion of thoughts crossed my mind. What was our baby going to be? A vampire? Human? Hybrid? What if it was something totally different? What if something went wrong like it did with Lucas?

"Elena, what's wrong? Why are you not happy?"

"I'm fine. I'm just overwhelmed."

"I understand. So, who's the lucky daddy?"
