Chapter 4 - Break up

Damon's P.O.V.

I was in the kitchen, making some coffee. Stefan and Aria were getting ready for school. Aria came down the stairs with a big smile on her face.

"Why so happy?" I asked her.

"Elliot is coming to Mystic Falls!"

"Oh, well, we want to meet him." Stefan came in the room.

"Of course! He'll be here tonight. We can have dinner together. Elena can come too!"

"Okay, I'll tell her a school." Stefan said. 

"Hurry, you don't wan't to be late on your first day of school."

They both went outside. I heard Stefan's car start, and then they were gone. I poured myself some blood and started enjoying my day. After a few minutes I heard Elena's car park in the driveway. What was she doing here? Se knocked at the door and I said 

"It's open!". She came inside. She was beautiful, like always.  

"Where's Stefan and Aria?" She asked.

"They just went to school."

"What? We were supposed to go together."

"No, I asked Stefan yesterday, he said you were going alone."

"Oh, yes. I forgot!"

"Elena, are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. I just haven't gotten much sleep lately."

"Why is that?"

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Elena, it's okay, tell me." I walked toward her. I put my arms on her shoulders. Damn, those beautiful brown eyes.

"No, it's nothing."

"Don't make me compel you!" I smirked as I played with her vervain necklace.

She rolled her eyes.

"Okay... Lately I've been having these feelings."

"What kind of feelings?"

"Look, Damon, if I wanted to talk about it, I'd talk to somebody else." She walked away and left the house. She quickly got in her car and left. What was she talking about? What kind of feelings?

Elena's P.O.V.

I almost told Damon. He was just so... 


No.

I arrived at the school. I knew I was late, so I didn't even fix my hair or makeup, I just went inside the school. As I was taking my books from my locker, I saw Stefan and Aria. They were standing in front of Aria's locker. Stefan seemed so happy. He's never that happy with me. That's it, I have to tell him.

"Hey, Stefan, can we talk?" I walked towards him.

"Sure, what's up?" He wasn't paying attention.

"Lately..."

"Hey, can you wait a sec? I'll be right back." He didn't even look at me. He went to Aria. 

"Meet me for lunch?" She nodded. Then he came back to me. 

"Sorry, what were you saying?"

"Nevermind. Can we talk tonight?"

"Yeah, where should we meet?"

"By Whickery Bridge. I'll be there at eight."

"Okay." He smiled at me and went to his classroom.
