Chapter 1 - Introduction

For 150 I've been seventeen years old. I used to have a normal life with my father and my two brothers until Katherine Pierce ruined everything. She took everything away from me. 

It's 2014 and I'm still searching for my brothers. 

I drove for hours until I finally arrived. The town was tiny, but it was nice. The first thing I saw was this "Mystic Grill". I went inside. There were teenagers everywhere. This beautiful boy with big blue eyes came up to me. He was wearing a green shirt with "Mystic Grill" written on it. Next to it was his name, Matt.

"Welcome to the Mystic Grill, would you like a table?"

"Sure." I smiled. He showed me a table next to the windows and I sat down.

"What would you like to order?" He asked. 

"Coffee, please."

"Coming right up!" He smiled at me and walked away.

I heard two girls chatting with my vampire-hearing. 

"Who's this girl? Is she new?" The blonde girl asked.

"I don't know. I guess so." The girl with a chocolate tan answered. 

"Anyway, Stefan wants us to help him for Elena's birthday party."

"Sure. Let's go." 

They stood up and were about to leave. Could it be Stefan, my brother? There was only one way to find out. I walked towards them. 

"Hey, I'm Aria."

"Hi. You're new here, aren't you?" The blonde girl said. I nodded. 

"Well, I'm Caroline and this is Bonnie."

"Hi." Bonnie said. 

"It's nice to meet you."

"Do you, by any chance, know Stefan Salvatore?" I asked. 

"Yeah, he's a friend of ours. You know him?" Caroline asked. 

"Sort of. Do you know where he lives?" Excitement filled me. I could finally see my brother. 

"Sure, he's down the street, at the Salvatore boarding house."

Of course he was there. 

"Thanks." I finished my coffee, paid for it and then I left. 

I walked to the house. I remembered it. It hadn't changed a bit. I didn't want to knock. I was scared. What if they hated me? What if they forgot about me? I just stood outside and tried to hear them. But there was only silence. I saw Caroline and Bonnie knock on the door. Someone opened it but I couldn't see their face. They went inside.

"So, what do you want us to do?" That was Caroline's voice. 

"You can put the decorations in the living room." It was Stefan! I recognized his voice! It was him, my brother! But what about Damon, was he here? I missed them both so much.
