Chapter 9 - The Ritual

~Two days later~

Aria's P.O.V.

The ritual was happening tonight. I was excited that Lucas would come back but something was telling me it wasn't going to happen. I just had this feeling that everything would go wrong. I just wanted him back.

I woke up next to Klaus, we were at his place. I quietly moved his hand and got out of bed. I took a shower, then I put on my black and red panties and bra. And then Klaus woke up.

"Good morning, love." He smiled. I laid on top of him and kissed him.

"Good morning." We both smiled. Then he took my waist and used his vampire speed to flip me over and now he was on top of me. We started kissing hungrily and then Elijah came in.

"Um, hello." He said.

"Oh my god! Elijah!" I quickly stood up and hugged him tightly.

"Aria?" And then I realized I was in my underwear. I quickly pulled out wrapped the bed sheet around me.

"Sorry." I smiled.

"It's okay. I'm sorry for barging in, I'll be downstairs." He turned around and left. I put on some clothes. Klaus was still in bed, staring at me.

"You're staring."

"I'm just enjoying the view."

"It's creepy."

"It's romantic."

I chuckled. When I was finally done I kissed him one more time and went downstairs. Elijah was in the living room, looking at all the books Klaus had.

"So, what made you come back?" I asked.

"I have some business here." He didn't look at me.

"What kind of business?"

"None of your concern."

"Elijah, you can talk to me, you know that right?"

"Sure."

"Okay, then talk."

"A witch told me she had a vision. There is going to be a new doppelgänger born."

"What? That's impossible."

"No, it's not. In fact, I already have an idea where to find her."

"Where?"

"That, I cannot tell you. I'm sorry."

"Please." I did the puppy eyes.

"That's enough for you today. Where's Klaus? I need to talk to him."

"I'm here, brother." He said as he was coming down the stairs.

"Can we talk alone?"

"Of course."

They went in the kitchen. I didn't want to listen to them, so I went to the Grill. There were Elena and Damon in the middle of a conversation. I decided to listen to them. I sat nearby and focused.

"What do you want from me, Damon?" Elena asked. She seemed mad.

"Why don't you want me?"

"Damon, you have to understand, I broke up with Stefan two weeks ago. I can't be with you right now."

"So what? You knew it was already over when he started ignoring you. I can give you what you want, Elena." He put his hand on hers. She hesitated a little but then she pulled out and stood up.

"I can't to this, Damon. I just can't do it."

"Elena, please."

"You know I want to but I can't do this to Stefan. I just can't hurt him anymore." She left.
