7.) Try Outs

I rush out the front door and almost run into Hinata. I had totally forgotten that she was coming too. "Oh sorry Hinata, I forgot that we were walking together." I admit with an uneasy chuckle.

Hinata smiles. "It's okay. I wonder how the guys will do." She muses out loud waiting for me to lock up the house.

I shrug jiggling the doorknob to make sure it's locked before shoving my hands and keys into my hoodie pocket. "I'm sure that Sasuke and Naruto will do just fine." I reply with a smile.

Hinata nods slowly. "They played well last year, except when it came to Konoha Junior High." She said slowly.

I knew where she was going with this. There was only one team that we would lose against in junior high. Their team was the best and only because of one person, Kiba Inuzuka.

I sigh heavily as we start to walk toward the school. "Sasuke and Naruto aren't going to be very happy are they?" I ask dully.

Hinata laughs. "Oh I'm sure that Kiba will be rubbing it in their faces." She says with a fond smile.

I cock an eye brow at my friend. "What's with the smile? You got a thing for Kiba now?" I ask teasingly.

Hinata rolls her eyes at me. "No! More like Naruto is cute when he gets flustered over Kiba being so good." She says with another soft smile as pink floods her face.

I snort. "Cute? He gets even more loud and obnoxious than he normally is. I blame you for pinning him and Kiba against each other." I say jokingly.

Hinata looks at me and we hold our gaze for a moment before we burst into giggles. There is no way that anyone but those two are to blame for their insane behavior towards each other.

When we reach the soccer field there are quite a few students sitting in the bleachers talking while they wait for try outs to start. I had heard that soccer was a huge thing at the academy but it hadn't dawned on me till just then. Normally I wouldn't go to these things but Hinata brought up a good point, it's high school and we need to have the high school experience.

Hinata and I find a spot up in the bleachers and seat ourselves. I can tell by the students on the field that only the seasoned players are here warming up.

I look over towards the gym. "I wonder what they are going to do for try outs." I muse out loud as I try and look for Sasuke and Naruto.

Hinata shrugs. "No idea, probably a scrimmage or something so they can see each player as a whole." She suggests sitting patently next to me.

I slouch back against the bleachers and sigh. I sure hope that Sasuke isn't as nervous as I am. He has no reason to be really, he is a very good full back and so is Naruto.

I bite my bottom lip nervously as I see a group of guys emerge from the gym doors. As they come closer I can see Sasuke and Naruto in the back talking. Naruto waves frantically and I know that he has spotted Hinata and me in the bleachers. Time to see what everyone has to offer the school team I think, as a wave back at Naruto.
