I'm amazed that I didn't beat the living shit out of Uchiha after I heard their conversation. Somehow the concern for Sakura was more urgent than the desire to beat him. I feel the anger boiling to the surface again as I carry Sakura back to my house. Uchiha is a dead man now. Next time I see him he's going to wish he was never born. Lightning flashes in the sky above and I quicken my pace. Sakura has already been out in the rain for a good hour now and I know it's not going to be good.

When I finally see my house in sight a huge sigh of relief leaves me. Hana is still out. Last thing I need is to have to explain to her why I'm carrying a half-naked unconscious girl to my bedroom. Like I can't be a nice guy or something.

As I get to my bedroom I come to the realization that I can't do anything with her in wet clothes. Shit. With Sakura in my arms I carry her back to the living room and gently place her on the couch. While I'm worried about her getting sick from being in wet clothes, I don't want to cross a boundary that I won't be able to take back.

I quickly rush to the linen closet and pull out a huge towel. When I hear a faint knock on the front door I know Hinata is here and relief washes through me. She sure was quick at coming which I am thankful for. I'm pretty good under pressure but this is unfamiliar territory.

"Hey." I say exasperated as I let Hinata into the house.

She quickly takes her shoes off and rushes into the living room. "What happened Kiba?" She asks concern etched all over her face.

I shake my head, I have to come clean to Hinata about this morning and I sure hope she doesn't kill me for lying to her. "Sakura was sick this morning because she saw Sasuke and Karin in the park across from the school. She didn't want to tell you because she knew you would worry. After school she approached Sasuke and he admitted to cheating for the last four months." I explain my fists now clench in anger.

Hinata's eyes widen as I explain to her what's going on. She looks over at Sakura who is lying unconscious and soaked on my couch, her face pained at the realization that her best friends heart was just broken. Hinata finally nods and then frowns. "She's soaked to the bone..." Hinata says quietly. "Do you think you have some sweats and a sweater for her to borrow?"

I nod and quickly go back to my bedroom grabbing a clean pair of sweats and a sweater I hardly ever wear any more. When I get back to the living room Hinata asks me to guard the front door while she changes Sakura out of her soaked uniform.

Once she has dried and changed her, I take Sakura back into my arms. She groans softly and leans into me catching me off guard. I quickly take her back to my bedroom and lay her in my bed, pulling the blankets up to her chin. She looks so haunted and defeated laying there in my bed. How could he do that to someone like her?

"Kiba..." Hinata warns looking at me. We have been friends for years so it's no surprise that she knows what I'm thinking.

"That ass hole deserves it though." I grumble back at Hinata as I continue to watch Sakura sleep in my bed.

Hinata puts her hand on my bicep and squeezes. "Let's let her rest for a while." She says quietly, escorting me out of my own room.

Just as I'm about ready to close the door my mother's dog Aki slips in the room and jumps up on my bed.

Hinata gasps but I just chuckle softly as I watch Aki lay her head on Sakura. "Don't worry, she feels Sakura's pain and wants to help. She's fine."
