A/N Sorry if this isn't how you wanted it to go, I'm in math rn and you never told me how you wanted it to end so I took it into my own hands....

Three months, you'd been stuck in this stupid Hydra base for three fucking months.

'Well, Steve's going to be upset about that one' You think to yourself, remembering them all helps. It helps with the pain that the daily tortures bring or the pain of not eating for weeks at a time. You aren't a SHIELD agent nor will you ever be one, you support Steve but all the stuff that they have to do is madness and you would never wish that upon someone. But thinking back on it now, you kind of wish that you had taken at least Hydra up on its offer and then become a double agent, later on, now that would've been easier.

FLASHBACK

"Join us!" The man orders. "It's the only way that you can survive this place." He had been one of the nicer agents that had come around to try and get you to join their side, yet you still refused. 

"Why would I?" You demand. "I'm sure as hell not a SHIELD agent so why would I join Hydra as my first go?"

"To save yourself." The guy scoffs. "Wouldn't you at least want that?" 

"To do this, I'd have to make Steve think that I'm one of you." You spit out the words as if they were poison. "I'd rather take my chances with the daily tortures."

"You really are stupid." The guy chuckles while looking away. "This could have saved you."

"Do you know how many times I've been captured just because I was friends with the Avengers?" You demand. "Let alone being with Steve!"

"That was different, they weren't out to kill you." The man states.

"And you are?" You question, he doesn't reply as he walks towards the door. He opens it then looks back at you.

"Good luck because you're going to need it."

REALITY

'Steve would be proud.' You think to yourself. 'Or would he call me stupid too, for not taking the chance to save myself.'

He'd call you stupid A voice in your head states, you blink a few times thinking you've gone mad.

Of course, he would, I mean you're you. He doesn't love you, if he did; you'd be out of here already. Another voice agrees, your eyes widen at the realization of the facts.

'He probably already has another girlfriend.' You reply to the voices, not even questioning it anymore.

Yeah he did, I honestly feel bad for you. A voice states with a smirk.

I'd tell them to let you join, screw Steve, screw the Avengers.

'You're right.' You think. 'You're all absolutely right.'

**TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY STEVE AND THE AVENGERS TAKING DOWN EVERY BASE LOOKING FOR YOU**

"I told you that she'd come around." The nicer man who had told you in the beginning smiles at you.

He's our only friend

He saved us

We owe him

"Of course I would." You butt in. "It was just a matter of time."

"They're breaking in!" A newer agent yells as he runs into the room. "It's the Avengers."

Of course they come now

Only to try and get you back

Or they just heard of your powers and want you all to themselves

You continue to walk down the corridor with the other agents, keeping your guard up as you take the front line with two others. As you turn the corner you see The Avengers fighting, Steve sees you first and takes out the agents around him with one throw of his shield. (A/N  WHEN CAPTAIN AMERICA THROWS HIS MIGHTY SHIELLDDDDD! ALL THOSE WHO CHOSE TO OPPOSE MUST YIELDDDD!!!! Okay I'm done) As it comes near you and your group, you raise your arms up to stop it. Steve looks at you then back to the shield as it hangs in the air.

"Y-Y/N." He stutters. "What did they do to you?"

"What did they do to me?" You hiss. "This is all on you Rogers."

Be meaner, he deserves it

Bring Peggy into this

DO IT

"You didn't rescue me! You left me just like you did to Peggy all those years ago." You sneer. "You really do have plans on how to treat a women huh?"

"I know you don't mean that." He states, his face blank but his eyes tell a totally different story.

"Oh I do." You reply while letting the shield drop to the ground. "You left me here for three months! I had thought you'd come after me when I was shown otherwise!"

"Who showed you?" He demands. "Because if it was Hydra I expect you to know better than to trust them." You cackle while turning around again.

"There's another thing." You state. "Always treating me like a child."

I hate that so much

HIT HIM IN THE NUTS

'Shut it'

"Y/N." Wanda appears by Steve's side, by the looks of it; she knows what's going on in your head. "Put the gun down and let us help you, don't listen to them."

Don't listen to us?

AWE HELL NO! HOLD MY HOOPS

This is where kicking him in the nuts really comes in handy

'I SAID SHUT IT'

"Maximoff, you know how I wish to do that." You chuckle and look Steve straight in the eyes. "But I have orders and I have to follow through with them." You raise your gun at Steve who stands motionless, telling you to do it if you have to. Before you pull the trigger another gunshot rings out, hitting you right between the eyes.

THIRD POV

Natasha jumps down from her hiding spot as Steve kneels by your cold pale body. "H-how could you?"

"Steve, she was gone." Wanda puts a hand on his shoulder. "There were voices in her head and...You could see that she lost it."

"I wouldn't have done it if there was any other way." Natasha sighs while looking down at you. "But they broke her too much."

"She's gone." He whispers.

"Do you love her?" Wanda demands, Steve nods. 

"I do."

"Love doesn't stop at death Steve, death is just an obstacle that you're going to overcome to get to her."
