You lay back in your seat on the plane as it lands, not wanting to get off yet wanting to at the same time. You've been on two tours in a row, not getting to see your friends for a while. You were excited yet nervous because of what you looked like now.

There was an accident on the bases and your body now had burn marks and scratches/scars everywhere, people on the plane saluted you but you could always see their eyes. Judging you with how you looked.

As the last of the people get off the plane, you stand and grab your duffel. With a sigh you close your eyes before walking out of the plane and into the tunnel to get back to the airport. You weren't ready to face them again, when you had left it had been a surprise to them because you couldn't bear to say goodbye. You walk out of the tunnel to see no one waiting for you.
