Prompt: You go on a mission and save Natasha

You rush around the compound trying to find anyone on your team, your com had gotten lost during one of your fights with a Hydra agent. You turn another corner and groan to find it to be a dead end. 

"Come on." You mutter before turning around again, only to be met with another agent.

"Hello Agent Y/L." The man smirks. "Hydra has been looking for you."

"Yeah yeah, can we hurry this along? I got plans for fro-yo." You reply before you charge forward and kick the gun from his hand. Before he can react, you wrap your arms around his neck and jump down; smashing his head onto the ground. "Fro-yo L/N? Really? You're losing your touch."

"Talking to yourself again L/N?" Natasha demands as she rounds a corner, you roll your eyes and stand up from your crouching position.

"Hahaha." You sarcastically reply as you roll your eyes. "Love you too bestie."

"Bestie? What are we five?" Natasha demands as you both start walking down the hall she had come down.

"I'm mentally four, so yeah." You shrug.

"Mentally four?" Natasha demands. "I thought we decided seven."

"When was this?" You demand as you turn another corner, Natasha chuckles. A beeping sound comes from the wall, you put your hand in front of her to stop her. "Nat?" You yell as you push her away, just as you do the whole wall next to you explodes. The explosion throws you into the wall across the wall, you smack your head; making everything go black.

**TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY BUCKY EATING TOO MANY PLUMS**

All you hear is beeping all around you, voices sound but they come and go but the beeping stays constant. You try and open your eyes but you can't, no matter how hard you try.

"Y/N." Natasha's voice whispers in your ear. "I need you to wake up and proof the science dipshits wrong."

You move your fingers as your eyes finally open, you expect to see the medical wing around you. Machines lining the walls, anything to say the least but you see nothing but red. Red with white spots dancing around the red background.

"N-Natasha." You whisper, your voice shaking horribly. "Natasha what happened?" 

"Y/N, please calm down." Natasha soothes while setting her hand on your shoulder, tears start to stream down your cheeks as you rest your hand on top of hers. "Tony and Bruce predicted it when you were out last week."

"Why?" You whisper. "Why did this have to happen to me?"

"Y/N/N, the blast caused it and when you hit the wall it made it permanent." Natasha slowly explains, slowly you reach a shaking hand out to her other hand that's not on your shoulder.

"So, I'll....I'll never be able to see again?" You whisper, your voice still shaking as fresh tears fall down your cheeks.

"Y/N I'm so sorry, it's all my fault." You hear Natasha whisper. "I lead you down that hall and I should've pulled you with me when you pushed me...I'm....god I'm so sorry!"

"Natasha." You whisper as you move your arm up to touch her cheek, you feel fresh tears fall down her cheeks. You slowly wipe them away as you sigh.

"Nat, I'm not saying that it's okay but it's wasn't your fault." You whisper. "Okay? It was Hydra, it was their bomb that went off in their base."

"But I-"

"Natasha shut up okay?" You chuckle. "If you really want to make it up to me, be my eyes. Help me out here because this is totally fricken new." 

"I got you Y/N. I'll always be your eyes." She replies, you offer a small smile while you nod.

"Thank you." You reply, you both sit in a silence. You feel her rub your cheek with her finger, after a few seconds she grabs your face with both her hands and pulls you in for a kiss. You smile into it as she pulls your head closer to hers.

Finally, you both pull away, you stare in her direction with a smile on your face. "I love you."

"I love you too."
