You hear voices yet you don't stir as you hear them move around you, some begging for you to wake up. The people have come and gone, some returning but not a lot. But now, you keep your eyes closed, you can't let them know that you're awake just yet.

"Tony, she/he may not be the same when she/he wakes up." You hear Bruce sigh. "According to Bucky, Hydra's probably done horrible things to Y/N."

"Bruce, do you think I care right now? You should've have seen our last conversation, the way you could see her/his heart break in her/his eyes as we told Y/N that we weren't a team. That we were done and never coming back."

"I'm glad I wasn't." Bruce replies.  "Come on, I need you guys to see this."

"But I'm on watch." Tony scoffs, Bruce sighs.

"Don't worry, we'll be back soon." Clint's voice calls from somewhere across the room, you hear them move and then a door closes. You wait a few minutes before you snap open your eyes and start ripping off the random machines that were connected to you. You don't know how you got here or what happened but you were determined to get out before something happened or those people came back.

"Wait, how do I know their names?" You mumble to yourself while rubbing your temples furiously, you roll your eyes before swinging your legs off the side of the bed and push yourself up. You stumble while waving your hands in the air to catch your balance before standing steady for a few seconds, you take a deep breath before quickly walking to the door across the room. You throw it open with a small grunt as you look down the hall to see if any of those people were here, they weren't. You inwardly cheer as you slip past the door and quickly speedwalk to the nearest door next to the elevator. 

You had reasons for not taking the elevator

Yes, you do know that this couldn't be a total horror movie but weirder things have happened, and yes you totally understood what you were getting into as you were sprinting down these flights of stairs.

But did you care?

No....

Yesss....

Maybe....

No.

You shake your head to focus as you stop halfway down one of the steps to look over the railing, your breath hitches as you see how far you still have to go. You shake your head and start running down the stairs again, trying to keep positive as you hum your favorite song to keep you moving forward.

**TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY STEVE FREAKING OUT AND BELIEVING EVERY CONSPIRIOUSY THEORY OUT THERE**

You finally make it to the bottom of the steps, with a last deep breath you push yourself to go forward and open the door...

Only to be met with a lot of people waiting for you, with a sigh you lean against the door to try and continue to catch your breath.

"Son of a bitch." You mutter.

"Y/N, it's not safe to be out of your hospital room right-"

"Stop." A man orders, he sounds like Scott but you don't know anymore, he must have seen the confusion in your eyes as he moves closer to you but slowly. "Y/N, please tell me what you remember." 

"Um, not you guys." You offer, he sighs as he looks to his feet.

"Please tell me you're kidding."

"Why would I tell strangers that I knew them when I didn't?"

"Son of a bitch, we're screwed."
