I am not the kind of girl,
Who should be rudely bargin' in on a white veil occasion,

Today was the day Scott Lang got married and Clint Barton was your date just so you were able to go, even though you knew you shouldn't.

I sneak in and see your friends,
And her snotty little family, all dressed in pastel,
And she is yelling at a bridesmaid,

When you had gone to the bathroom, you saw the girl and her family. And she was yelling at everybody, one bridesmaid ran out crying....

This is surely not what you thought it would be,
I lose myself in a daydream,

As you stand for the bride to walk down the isle, you loose yourself in your head. You watch yourself yelling at Scott to not do this because this girl was a bad woman and even though you two were over, you still wanted to protect him.

But the author is not saying that you didn't want another chance at a relationship.

You watch you and Scott running to his van together and driving as far from this girl that you two could get.

Fond gestures are exchanged,
And the organ starts to play

As she walks down the isle, she stares you down as if you were to be a Hydra agent. Unwanted by anybody... You push yourself closer to Clint as her glare deepens.

She floats down the aisle like a pageant queen,
But I know you wish it was me,
You wish it was me, don't you?

You and Scott hold eye contact as she gets about halfway down the aisle, tears pool in your eyes as he takes her hand and they both stand in front of the priest.  Clint grabs your hand and squeezes it for support, it only caused your breathing to increase.

"Run." You whisper. "Please just run while you can."

Don't wait or say a single vow,
You need to hear me out,
And they said, "Speak now"

Your foot begins to tap as the priest begins his speech, the woman's family smiling at the triumph that their daughter had achieved. But you knew better, she wasn't in it for love.

"Y/N." Clint whispers. "Speak now."
Your time is running out,
And they said, "Speak now"

"Y/N." Clint orders, his voice sad yet full of authority. "Speak."

You turn your gaze to him and see the rest of the Avengers watching you, wanting you to do the same. You look around the audience and see Cassie, looking at you with sad eyes.

Her eyes just begging for you to speak now.

'Please.' She mouths, your mouth goes dry out of fear before closing your eyes for a confidence booster.

I hear the preacher say,
"Speak now or forever hold your peace, "

With a deep breath, you stand and move to the middle of the aisle. All eyes turn to you with horrified expressions but you ignore them, your eyes are just focusing on the green eyes that were staring back at you with the same words that you wished to speak.

I am not the kind of girl,
Who should be rudely bargin' in  on a white veil occasion,
But you are not the kind of boy,

"I know that you built this life and it's fine with me if you want to keep it." You announce. "But if there's even the smallest chance that you want to continue what we started. I'll meet you when you're out of the church at the back door."

"WHAT?! NO!" Scott's woman screams as he starts forward to you.

"God, you don't know how much I was hoping you'd say that." He whispers before pulling you into his arms and pushing his lips to your own.

Don't wait or say a single vow,
You need to hear me out,
And they said, "Speak now"

"Let's run away now." Scott mumbles. "I'll meet you out I'll meet you when I'm out of my tux at the back door. Oh baby, I didn't say my vow. So glad you were around when they said, "Speak now"

"I love you." You mutter.

"I love you too."
