"Buck you need to go!" You yell into the com, a Hydra agent comes up behind you as you electrocute the ones in front of you. Quickly, you pull out your gun and shoot the one behind with you without turning around. (DAMN READER YOU'RE FRICKEN BADASS!!!)

"Y/N! I can't leave you here, it's suicide!" Bucky replies through the com.

"If you stay and we both get captured then they will surely reset you. Please, Buck, go." You state into the com as you jump into a vent. You hear him sigh as a bomb goes off in another part of the base.

"Promise you won't die before I come back to get you?" Bucky questions.

"Cross my heart." You whisper as a bunch of agents gather below you. "I love you."

"I love you...too." Bucky grunts, you hear the ramp on the jet close before you jump from the vent and kick the first agent you see. You keep fighting until a gun shot goes off and everything goes dark.

**TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BUY BUCKY BUYING PLUMS BUT SAM EATS THEM ALL**

"So, Y/S/N." A man chuckles as you slowly blink your heavy eyes open. "Tell me where the Winter Soldier is and I'll tell the boys to go easy on your tortures for today.

"Fat chance." You reply.

"Oh? You don't believe us?" The man replies actual confusion in his voice.

"That and I wouldn't tell you where he is." You spit back. "You'd have to kill me first."

"That can be arranged." The man snarls as he waves to the window. "You would've made an amazing soldier."

"Bite me." You hiss as a different man walk in, weapons are strapped everywhere on his body. You gulp at the sight as the man smirks.

"Good thing I need to blow off some steam huh?" He cackles, you wince as he pulls out a whip and whips your leg.

THIRD POV
AVENGERS TOWER

"Bucky we're trying our best." Steve comforts his friend. "But we need you to tell us which base you guys were taking out because the one you gave us never existed."

"Steve, I told you what I know." Bucky whispers, not looking up to his friend. 

"I know you're trying Buck." Steve sighs as he sits next to him on the couch. "But it's not your fault, she/he told you to go."

"I know." Bucky whispers, tears pooling in his eyes. "That was our first 'I love yous' though and it was when she/he was about to die."

"Guys." Tony runs into the room, completely out of breath. "I found her/him but we might want to hurry because it's not pretty."

"Tell the others to suit up." Steve orders as he looks down at the tablet then to Bucky. "And hurry."

YOUR POV
HYDRA BASE

"Had enough yet?" The burly man questions, you weakly spit up blood as you try and turn away. 

"Johnson!" Someone yells. "That's enough, let her suffer before you kill her."

"You got lucky this time." The man hisses as your vision turns blurry again. The door closes as shouts are heard outside, you try and sit up on your elbows but quickly fail and fall back to your face.

"Come on Y/N." You croak as you get up to your knees, slowly you crawl to the door as the shouts get louder. "Please help." 

You fall to the wall in a pool of your own blood as your hand drops from the door handle, as it does the door bursts open. Steve fully dressed in his Captain America uniform comes running in, his eyes quickly land on you as his hand goes to his com.

"Found her, West wing." He states while quickly kneeling next to you.

"Hey Y/N/N. I need you to keep your E/C eyes open, Bucky's on his way and I'm sure he wants to see them." Steve continues to talk to you as your head starts to loll.

"Nice to see a friendly face Cap." You whisper. "Tell Buck I'm sorry."

"Y/N, what do yo-" Steve's cuts himself off as your eyes close, Steve rushes around to try and wake you and stop the blood just as the rest of the team bursts through the door.

**ANOTHER TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY CLINT TRYING TO IMPERSONATE ED SHEERAN**

You hear the beeping of machines before you can open your eyes, as you do you see Bucky sleeping on a chair next to you. His hair falls in his face as his nonmetal arm grips yours.

"Bucky." You state, your voice barely above a whisper. But he hears it, his body jumps at once as his eyes shoot open.

"Y/N!" Bucky smiles. "You...you're alive!"

"You aren't getting rid of me that easily." You chuckle, Bucky smiles as he looks to your intertwined hands.

"I wanted our first 'I love yous' to not be during a death situation." Bucky mumbles after a few silent seconds.

"But our second ones can be all the more special." You smile as you pull him down to your face. "I love you James Buchanan Barnes."

"I love you too Y/F Y/M Y/L." Bucky smiles he closes the few inches between you too.
