Chapter 32

'Matter of fact it is' I heard his voice.
Shit.
I quickly turned off the water and yanked the towel that was hanging.

"Ryan you need to leave." I stated firmly.

"But why when you and I can have fun."

"Our definitions of fun aren't the same that's why." I shot back.

Somehow, he pulled the towel away from me and pinned my arms above me.

"Now if you move, I'll let you slip and there you go. Bye bye Lex. We don't want that,  now do we?"
I shook my head.

He brought my hands by my waist and kissed down to my stomach until he reached a certain spot.

I kept trying to move my legs to get away from him, but he took it as me thrashing around for more.

The door was slightly ajar. When Ryan came up and started kissing my neck,
Kaden's head popped in. I will never forget the frightened look on his face.

'Go save Kiana.' I mouthed knowing he would do anything to keep his sister from getting hurt.

He nodded and ran away.

Ryan picked me up and wrapped my legs around him.

"Kiss me." He demanded.
I kept my lips shut and to myself.

"Kiss me damn it!" He yelled as he pinched my butt.

I winced in pain and he stuck his tongue down my throat. I bit it.

"So you wanna play dirty? Because I can play dirty." He tossed me on the bed.

He pulled out some strips of cloth from his pocket. I squirmed as much as I could, but then he slapped me.

I just layed there and took it. I didn't want to risk losing my baby.

He got on top of me, and thats when I thought I heard the kids' room door open.

Ryan was squeezing my leg as he kissed me. He had one hand on my side. He trailed his finger from my lips and once he reached a spot, I cried out. Not long after, Marcus swung the door open.

I woke up. That's the same dream I've been having for the past few days.

It's just a re-run that runs constantly through my head. It's just a nightmare.

I just layer there, helplessly. Sweaty and scared. I wouldn't wish that upon anybody.

If only I could have done something different. Maybe if I wouldn't have gone to shower when I did, I would have been a little more prepared for what happened.

"You okay?" Marcus asked, sleep still evident in his voice.
"Yeah, I am now." I snuggled into him.

He was warm, and shirtless. He wore his Nike sweats to cover his long muscular legs, which were tangled in mine.

"Are you gonna stick around, when the baby's born?" I asked, suddenly curious and overwhelmed by my thoughts.

"What kind of question is that?" He asked.

I shrugged my left shoulder.
"I don't kn-"
"Were getting married in a couple of weeks. Do you really think I would just throw us away?"

"No." I whispered. Truthfully, I didn't know. But no sounded like a better answer than I don't know.

"Okay than. Come here," he said as he pulled me closer into his body.

"I love you," he kissed my forehead. "So much." He hugged me. "Don't ever get any ideas like that. I love you and only you. You're my world, my everything."

"I love you too, Marcus."

And with that I fell into a very deep sleep with Marcus by my side.

"Goodmorning, sunshine." I woke up to Kaden trying to get me to wake up.

The way he said it, sounded like 'emorning, sunchine.'

"Goodmorning to you too." I smiled, rubbing the sleep away from my eyes.

"Uncle Natey and my mommy made breakfast!" He chirped.
"Did they?" I said through a stretch, causing him to giggle.

"What's so funny?" I asked.
"It sounded like you growled!" He giggled.

"You know what?!" I furrowed my eyebrows through a smirk. "Come here now!" I pulled him to me and tickled him.

"Who's the greatest?!" I shouted.
Nothing but giggles.
"Tell me!" I demanded and laughed.

"Uncle Natey!" He wheezed out through giggles.

"Oh hell no!" I tickled him some more.
"Wrong answer."

He went through all the names in the house, including Kiana's, until he got to mine.

"Let's go downstairs for some breakfast."
He shook his head, his arms folded throughout the entire time.

He crawled into my lap.

"What's wrong?" I asked.
No answer. He just kept his arms in his lap while he brought his legs and butt closer together in my lap.

He didn't want to talk or move.

Finally, I picked him up and tried to get up when he started to shake his head uncontrollably. What had gotten into this kid?

"What's wrong kiddo?" I asked softly.
"I don't want to leave until uncle Natey or uncle Marcus come up to get us."

"Why can't we just walk downstairs?" I questioned.

"I don't think it's safe." He whispered.

He grabbed my phone and suggested that I call one of the guys.

"I don't want that guy coming back." He whispered out of nowhere.

"Uncle Marcus is sending uncle Natey, okay?" I reassured.

He nodded his head yes.

I was really starting to question that theory that kids feel more than adults.

What if Kaden was right? What if there were dangers in the house right now? And if so, what were they? Who were they?

"I am here!" Nathan was slapping the threshold of the door and making beats. He finally came up to me and Kaden.

I raised my hand and made a talking motion by touching my four fingers with my thumb, than pointed to Kaden.

All the while, I mouthed the words 'talk to him' to show him what was going on.

"What's up buddy? What's going on?"

Kaden shook his head and buried his face in my chest.

"He told me that he didn't think it was safe, and then he told me he didn't want that guy coming back." I filled Nathan in on the situation.

"Well, he won't be back for a while, I promise. If he ever does though, you and Kiana have nothing to worry about. I'll make sure of it." He promised.

"Pinkie promise?" Kaden asked sticking out his inch-and-a-half-long pinkie, if that.

"Pinkie promise."Nathan assured. "And you know how serious I take my pinkie promises."

"A few months before uncle Marcus met you, uncle Natey beat him up because he broke a pinkie promise. It was a lesson to show me how serious they were."

My jaw just about hit the floor.
