It's past midnight
And the demons are here
To eat up the small pieces of happiness
I picked up today

I watched her cheeks blossom into a light blush. I held her closer, our bodies now pressed against each other.

"So, what do you think?"

"I...I don't know, Garroth, it's only been two weeks, we can't just start something like this before getting to know each other a little"

"Alright, I can live with that" I shrugged, leaning my lips to her ear, "if you change you're mind, just tell me"

She gulped audibly and I pulled away. She went into the tent and I heard the sound of her getting into her sleeping bag. I pulled out my sword and sat on the log, taking on the task of standing guard while she slept.

The morning sun rose over the horizon, waking the sleeping queen from her peaceful slumber. She yawned and walked out of the tent. I handed her a piece of bread, and she ate while I took down our camp.

We walked silently through the forest, it was an uncomfortable silence to say the least.

"Follow me" I ordered as ScalesWind peered through the trees. I ran to the side where there were no guards. I walked into the sewer drain and walked down the dark tunnels, guiding the Dark Queen along wherever we went. We arrived in an alleyway, and I pulled out the map that was delivered with the letter I got.

"We'll stay in a hotel and leave at night when there are rarely any people out...actually, I'll leave, you should stay in the room"

"Why?"

"Cause, I'm going to kill a man, and I know how you feel about death"

"Oh, okay, thanks...I guess"

We walked out onto the street. The evil one hid her wings so no attention would be brought to us. We got to the small inn, and a very kind looking old lady was sitting at the desk.

"A room for one night" I spoke up. The lady looked between us and smiled, pulling out a key.

"Alright, that'll be five gold for one night"

"Sounds good, here" I handed the woman her gold, and took the key. We walked to the room and saw the two single beds, along with the full length mirror, and dresser. The Evil One went into the small room that was off of our room, she went to freshen up.

"Well, look at you, so...you plan on making the moves tonight?"

My reflection smirked at me.

"Shut up" I growled, debating breaking the mirror.

"Why? Am I right?"

"No, in fact, you don't know anything"

"Garroth? Did you say something?"

The Dark Queen walked out, wearing what she would wear to bed. I smiled and shook my head, my reflection turning back into what it was supposed to be.

"Nope, why, did you hear something?" I teased, removing my mask and pulling out some clothes for the night.

"I thought I did, oh well" she yawned and collapsed onto the bed, "I'm exhausted"

"Well you can get plenty of sleep tonight, but we have to leave really early tomorrow"

"Ugh, fine" She propped herself onto her elbows, looking at me. I smiled and went into the small room to freshen up like she did before. This room had a mirror, and again my reflection turned from normal me, to mirror Garroth.

"Aww, you're so in love, it makes me sick"

"I'm not in love" I whispered, so she couldn't hear.

"Please, you realize we're in alternate universes right? There's a mirror Aphmau here"

"And? Should I care about your personal life?"

"Seeing as how it relates to yours, yes"

"Whatever. leave me alone"

I slipped on my full black outfit, and tied my mask around my face, and adding cloth to cover my whole head but my eyes. I walked out, and the Dark Queen was already cuddled up under her bed sheets.

"I'm leaving now" I whispered, leaning down to her half asleep figure.

"Be safe, and don't get caught" she whispered back, opening her eyes to see me. I nodded and savored the moment for what it was.

I soundlessly jumped out of the window and slid down a pipe that scaled the building. I pulled out my map, and read it through the dim moon light. I spotted the house about a mile off, so I wasn't too far. I effortlessly made it to the building without being caught by any guards. I saw light coming out of only one window, so I climbed a tree and looked in. There I saw a man with black hair, standing at a brewing stand. Black particles emitting from the small bottle that held a deep crimson liquid. I grabbed a small sack filled with gas, and spilled the magical fog into a small crack in the window. He passed out, and I slid open the window, stepping in. I walked over to see what he was brewing. It was a potion of blindness mixed with a potion of harming. It also smelled a little like a potion of slowness.

It couldn't be all three, could it? Wouldn't it all explode?

I shook my head, sliding the unknown potion into my bag. I glanced at the unconscious body and unsheathed my small dagger. I knelt down and pierced his heart. I held my dagger inside his staggering heart until I no longer felt a pulse.

I cleaned up any evidence of me, and poured a couple potions of harming on him, to make it look like an accident while brewing. I jumped back into the tree, and made it back to the hotel, without being spotted once.

I climbed into our unlocked window, removing my mask.

"Oh good, you're back"

I looked up to see the Evil One, a look of relief washing over her.

"Yeah"

"How did it go?"

"It was alright, easy, and I found this potion" I showed her the unusual bottle. She gasped and took it into her hands.

"He was making this?" Her voice started to shake, along with her body.

"Yeah...do you know what it is?" I questioned hesitantly.

"All too well..." She whispered, her body now trembling like a leaf. I gingerly grasped her shoulders, looking into her worried eyes.

"What is it?"

"A potion they use...to help make shadow knights"

A/N Sooooo, shadow knights, that's something i saw coming from a mile away. But wait, how does Aphmau know of shadow knights? I know, and I hope some of you lovely devils can figure it out, anyways I love you all devils, byeee.
