She said
"Don't get too close, it's dark inside. It's where my demons hide,"
I answered
"Get too close, there's a hell inside of me, and your demons can live there."

We entered the castle, walking straight for the throne room.

We walked through the doorway. I heard my mother gasp, she stepped off of her thrown and ran towards us. She hugged me, and then went to Aphmau.

"Is it...really you?" She whispered, holding her cheek.

"Yes, Zianna, it's me," mother engulfed her in a hug, biting back tears.

"But you died, we had a funeral."

"I faked my death. I had a magical illusion of myself made, and I went to find the rebels. I couldn't find them, but I did find Garroth."

"Correction, I found her," I spoke up, taking her hand into mine and smiling at her.

"Who is this?" Father was now in front of us, eyeing Travis suspiciously.

"A friend. He helped me find The Dark Queen originally, I invited him to the castle awhile ago and he finally took me up on the offer," I lied.

"Did you find the rebels?" Father questioned, locking his hands behind him.

"No, as soon as I found the Dark Queen I brought her back."

"Well we have a prisoner from the rebels, if you'd like you can try and get information out of her, we've tried but she's too stubborn for her own good."

Travis balled his fists.

"It appears I struck a chord, do you know anything, Travis?"

"No, I just hate the rebels. They took my mother."

"Well, we have room for you to stay here and get your revenge. Garroth, show this young man to a guest room. And show the Dark Queen to her room also. And then as soon as you can, meet me."

I nodded and tightened my grip on her hand.

"Let's go."

We all walked down a hallway, keeping silent for the ears of the guards were everywhere.

"Wait!" Mother called down the hallway. We all turned and she ran back to Aphmau, "Aphmau, can we talk later?"

"Of course."

Mother grinned and walked away. We got to Travis' room first. He walked in and looked around.

"Does this fancy place have somewhere I can take my anger out?"

"Down the hall, take a left, third door on the right," I called as I grabbed Aphmau's hand again and pulled her away. We were running through the halls, me dragging Aphmau close behind me.

"I know where my old room is."

"We aren't going to your old room," I smirked and brought her to my room.

"I know where this room is too."

"Stop being sassy, now we're in the castle. Try and get away from my mother by sundown, meet me here."

"Why?"

"So you can help me talk to the little rebel in the cell."

"Will Travis help?"

"I don't think I have a choice in the matter," I sighed. Aphmau smirked and left my room.

"See ya at sundown."
