You could never understand the demons I face.
~Trading Yesterday
•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•We walked through the forest, and Aphmau was nervous. Like, really nervous. She was shaking and clutching onto a bag so hard that her knuckles were turning white, even whiter than her already pale complexion. Her breathing was ragged and she was breathing through her mouth instead of her nose.
Why was she so nervous?
Rain continued to fall around us, and thunder rolled causing her to jump.
We were right outside ScalesWind, and I narrowed my eyes at her.
"Where are you going?" I mumbled only loud enough for me to hear.
I followed her through the empty streets, keeping hidden from her. She got to a familiar house, and went in the window.
This is where I killed that guy...what was his name again? Gene?
She set the bag on a table and took a breath.
I felt my legs go numb when I saw someone walk in the door.
It was him. Gene. The one I was told to kill. The one who I made sure was dead.
"Aphmau watch out!" I yelled, thinking of only the worst. Aphmau turned to look at me through the opened window, fear in her eyes.
"YOU FOLLOWED ME?!" She growled, the panic only filling in her hazel eyes.
"Aphmau! Behind you!"
"I thought I told you not to bring anyone, princess," he sneered, "you know what happens when you disobey."
"He won't cause any trouble, Gene. Just take the stuff and go," she tried to reason as I stepped in the building.
"No, he's seen too much. He's supposed to think I'm dead."
"I can erase his memory."
Gene shook his head, pulling out some needles.
"Not how I work, sweetheart."
He bolted towards her, and I tried to jump in the way, but only got stabbed in the neck with the paralysing needle. I fell to the ground, and watched as he paralysed Aphmau.
"Should've stuck to killing, pretty boy."
And then I passed out.
I opened my eyes to see I was in a cell of some sort. My hands tied to a pole behind me. I heard rain falling outside, so I knew we weren't in the nether like Aphmau had said shadow knights come from.
I looked to my right to see Aphmau in another cell, her wings drooping as her hands were tied above her head.
"Aphmau?"
"What," she grumbled through gritted teeth.
"You have some explaining to do."
"I would've been just fine if you hadn't followed me!" She barked.
"Why did he call you princess?"
She stayed silent, looking at her feet.
"Aphmau. Why?"
Again she didn't answer.
"Dark Queen..." I mumbled, thinking of the name she was called the most, "does it have something to do with the Dark Queen."
"Listen, it's not any of your damn business, so shut your mouth and pray that we get out of here alive."
I looked to my left and saw another familiar face.
Zoey
She was passed out, but didn't look harmed. The sound of a door opening and closing pulled me out of thought. In stepped in Gene and...
Zoey?!
Gene smirked and crossed his arms, and the Zoey beside him turned into someone else. The woman had silver hair and purple eyes.
"What's going on?" I demanded. Gene rolled his eyes and leaned on my cell bars.
"You don't need to know, you'll be dead."
"What are we doing here?"
"Why would I tell you?"
"What are you planning to do with us?"
"You just don't get it. I'm not gonna tell you anything. But the Dark Princess over here will."
I've never heard of her being called the Dark Princess.
"Gene, this has nothing to do with him. Or her for that matter. Let them go."
"And why would I do that?"
"Or I'll tell the higher in command how you treated me."
"Please, these are his orders."
Her eyes widened and she clenched her fists.
"What does he want from me?"
"He misses you."
Who misses her?
"Yeah right, he always wants something, what is it?"
I'm so confused, what are they talking about?!
"He also wanted to meet blondie over here."
ME?!
"Why?" Aphmau asked, narrowing her eyes.
"Because you love him, and he just finds it priceless that you fell for the son of Garte."
What does this have to do with my father?
"Well, he doesn't need to meet blondie, because blondie is engaged."
"Oh we know," silver haired girl spoke up, "and if Gene had disposed of her when he was supposed to, our plan would have been flawless."
"Wait..." Aphmau whispered, "dispose of her...you killed her, didn't you?!"
Killed her?!
I looked at her again, her skin deathly pale. Her chest lay still, no breath escaping her lips. My eyes widened, my hands went cold.
"Dead...?" I managed.
"Yeah, oh don't worry about her, her last words were 'Garroth will come and save me' oh wait...guess you didn't wanna know that," the girl laughed venomously, "that "emotional" break up, was me."
"Tell him no, and we aren't going to see him," Aphmau sighed.
"He doesn't want to keep you there, just to talk to you," Gene rolled his eyes.
"Fine, but on one condition."
"And that is?"
"We leave within a day, and with Zoey's soul."
"You know how changing into them works, we had to use her soul."
Aphmau cursed under her breath. Gene walked into her cell and untied her. The white haired girl untied me and they started dragging us down the stairs.
"I'm sorry...this is my fault, I shouldn't have followed you," I apologised.
"No, don't worry about it. It's my fault Zoey was killed for this..."
"What is all of this about? Who are they talking about? And how does he know my father?"
"I'm not entirely sure how he knows your father."
"Who is he?"
"My dad."
A/N SO you can probably figure out who her dad is. Because I find it obvious, maybe it's cause I know what I'm writing. I love you all devils, byeeeee.
