"We need to leave" I paced my room, it was now sunset, and Aphmau sat on my bed.

"Because?"

"Travis killed three guards and broke Katelyn out."

"He did what?!"

"He heard the guards insulting her, and he snapped."

"Ugh, moron."

"So we have to leave, and we can't come back this time."

"Well then, how about we pay the king a quick visit?" She stood up and I followed her to his office. She walked in and placed her hands on her hips.

"Evil One, to what do I owe the pleasure?"

"Garte, you lied. To me, your son, your kingdom. I know what O'Khasis truly is, and I plan on bringing it down," Aphmau slowly walked towards him. He opened his mouth, probably to call for guards. "Don't yell for help, it's not gonna work. I'm leaving, but I'll be back. And when I arrive, I'll arrive violently. I'll enter like a war, you wanted a monster of me, and a monster of me you'll get. You know what you are? Nothing but a coward. A man who hides behind countless guards and a crown that is studded with the jewels of lives you have taken. You lack strength, but I have to admit, you do have intelligence. You're smart to hide behind all those officers and laws, because without them, you're nothing but a dead man."

And what I saw from him, was something I had never seen on my father. Fear.

He looked at me, pleading for me to save him. I only shook my head shrugging my shoulders.

"I don't control her."

Aphmau took her hand, and patted his head.

"See ya soon, coward."

She turned around, beckoning me to follow her. I did, and as soon as the doors closed behind us, she grabbed my hand and we bolted down the hallways.

"GUARDS! AFTER THOSE TRAITORS!"

Aphmau started flying, and dragged me out the window. I held my hands around her waist as we flew the opposite direction.

"Where are we going?"

"I'm throwing them off our trail. Once we're too high for them to see us, I'll turn around."

We must have flown for an hour before turning around.

"That was awesome back there."

"I didn't do much."

"I had never seen my father afraid, that was the best thing ever."

"Fear's a good look for him."

"The only thing about Travis snapping so early, we didn't get nearly as much information as I would've liked."

"We don't need a lot of information. We have Vylad who they still think of as a loyal son of the throne."

"But...won't they be suspicious of him being gone for so long?"

"He leaves O'Khasis for days on end. Have you been suspicious of him before you learned of the rebellion?"

"Not really..."

"Exactly. He's been known to leave for long periods, return for short ones. He doesn't appear suspicious to anyone in the castle."

"Why did you kiss me?" I suddenly blurted.
