Secret Storms

Guess what today is? December 17th. Why is that date so important you ask? Because we are officially on Christmas break. By we I mean Jamal, Jaden, Tonii, Imma and I. Jeremiah's junior year of college is over. Yeap my older brother officially has one year left of college before he graduates with his bachelors in business. Uncle mike took a few weeks off so he can spend more time with us for Christmas break. Jeremiah suggested we head to our lake house in Orlando for two weeks.

Sounds like a nice family get away right? Wrong! Instead of it being 5 of us that number jumped up to 9 Tonii, Imma, Andre and Joseph is joining us. Tonii and Imma basically invited themselves since both of their parents are going out of the country to visit family. Joseph and Jeremiah has developed a bro friendship so he invited him. I invited Andre since his parents have been out of the state since thanksgiving. No one should spend the holidays alone plus I wanted to be near him for Christmas.

"Are you even listening to me love?" Andre's deep voice brings my focus to the situation at hand.

"Of course I am!" I defend myself.

"No she wasn't!" Jaden snitches on me.

"Fine I wasn't! Now what happened?" I admit.

"I asked you to get a lunchable from the cooler so you can feed me since I'm the one driving. Instead you're eating it and looking out the window." Andre glances at me before focusing on the road.

We are currently in my car on the way to Orlando. Andre is driving and Jaden is in the back seat. Tonii and Imma are in Uncle Mike's SUV while he drives. Jamal and Jeremiah are in Joseph's white Lexus. Jeremiah and Jamal take turns driving. We thought it would be easier taking three cars instead of a big van in case we wanted to do different activities for different age groups.

"No one told you to drive if you wanted to eat."

"We were supposed to drive two hours each!" Andre starts to defend himself.

"But who wanted to take my new baby on a road trip? Huh? I think the person was you." I say with a smile on my face.

"Hey it's not everyday I'm able to drive a 2015 Range Rover Evoque. Especially one I helped paint and customize for you." Andre gives me a quick smirk before focusing on the road.

  I still remember the day after my birthday.

Flashback.......

I'm driving Jamal and Jaden home from school. Pulling in the driveway I see a big black trap covering something.

"What's that?" I question. Jamal and Jaden both mummer 'I don't knows'. Walking through the front door I see Uncle Mike and Jeremiah talking.

"What's with the black tarp?" Jamal questions.

"It's for Sophy." Jeremiah says. "Now close your eyes and come with us."  I close my eyes and let them pull me out the house. "Now open your eyes" Uncle Mike says.

I open my eyes and say the first thing on my mind. "No fucking way!!" In front of me is a Range Rover with a big purple bow on top. "Is it mine?" Like really mine?" I question my older brother and uncle. They nod their heads with smile. I get closer to my new SUV and inspect it. It's a dark
Gray color with silver pearl to the paint. I open the driver door and see certain parts of the interior have been customized a dark purple color like the steering wheel and the stitching on the black leather seats. The inside is huge like a spaceship.

Getting out of the car I hug both Jeremiah and my Uncle. "I love it guys!! Thank you so much!" I cover both their faces in kisses.

Jeremiah pushes me away laughing while Uncle Mike accepts all my love. "Well don't thank us. The car came standard we had got some help adding touches to it." Uncle Mike points behind me. I turn around and see Andre checking out my new Range Rover. I run over to him and jump in his arms and kiss him. After pulling away from the kiss I remember my brothers and uncle are here. Andre is so caught up in the unexpected kiss he doesn't let me down until I call his name. After my feet touch the ground I turn around to see my family has knowing looks on their faces.
