CHAPTER 16:

LOUIS' POV:

I was just sitting on my couch today, doing nothing productive. You know why? 'Cos I freaking can't do anything else! I can't get out of the house, I can't even take a walk for God's sake! And it's slowly driving me mad, living the life of a hermit.

I know, I know. I shouldn't complain. This is all for my safety. But still. I am dying for some fresh air!

I was lying face first on my couch, my face buried in the cushions. I heard footsteps approaching and lazily lifted my head up.

"I'm dying of boredom!" I whined, which earned me a snort from Zayn.

"Oh, please! You're acting like you had a social life before!" he teased.

"Pa-le-ase!" I pleaded to Zayn, to allow me to at least put my foot on a pavement outside, just for five minutes. It's only been a week and I'm getting sick of my own house.

Zayn caught on to what I wanted to say.

"No," the bastard spoke sternly. "You know you can't go out of the house Louis," he continued, much like a doting mother, smirking. He was actually enjoying this way too much.

"Listen here, you!" I bellowed, scrambling up from the couch and pointing a finger at the black haired assassin. "Now I know that I can at least go and get a coffee! I'm not in that much of danger! Right?"

"But we can't take any-"

"PLEASE, ZAYN I BEG YOU! I'm suffocating in my own house! I even miss going to work!"

Zayn seemed like he was thinking about it. Oh please dear God, let him-

"Fine," he sighed dejectedly. "You really do know how to use that power of pursuasion," he smirked while I was too busy cheering.

"Can we go to Starbucks? Please Zayn? Pleaseeeee?"

Zayn rolled his eyes, but nodded. "Okay, yeah. Let me talk to one of the guards outside," he spoke and was out the door the next minute.

Woo! Finally! I'd be going out of my house for the first time in more than a week. I'm really hating Tanner more and more now. I get the chills whenever I think about his warning. And only 'cos of him, I have to be holed up in my own damn house for God knows how much longer!

Zayn came back moments later, smirking slightly. "Let's go then, nerd. We're going on a date to Starbucks," he added humorously, while I blushed.

I still hadn't gotten the guts to ask Zayn how he felt about me, it just felt too far-fetched. That he'd actually have feelings for me. But, judging by the two times he had pinned me to the wall, I can say that he possibly does feel something.

And I of course hadn't told him about my feelings yet. Who knows how he'll react if I'll do. Like make fun of me. Or possibly shoot me. So nah, I'm not gonna tell him. Not now, not in the near future.

"You've changed your mind about this or what?" Zayn asked impatiently.

"Huh? NO! Let's go then!"

Zayn drove me to the nearest Starbucks, and a few agents were trailing behind. Ugh, this felt so ridiculous! Like I was some sort of celebrity that needed protection!

"Uh, so I'll just go order now," I spoke awkwardly. Zayn nodded, raising a sexy eyebrow. "You want something?" I questioned unsurely.

"Sure. Just an iced tea, but only if you're paying," Zayn smirked.
