Mary's POV

As soon as I met his gaze, I looked away. I didn't want to look at him. It just reminded me of all the pain that everyone at school and I had to go through.

It was just too unbearable.

"Well, look who's here...", she says whilst sliding into the chair in front of us.

I don't reply; nor do I look up at him.

"Kevin, you need to tell me why you did what you did.", his mother suddenly breaks out.

He doesn't say anything, but I can see him staring at me out of the corner of my eye.

"Kevin.", she says again.

He looks back to his mother and leans back in his chair,"What does it matter? It's done. They're done."

"Not all of them...", she whispers,"Some of them were alive. Like Sueddo. He got away, but not before you punctured both of this thighs with your arrows."

I flinch and close my eyes, trying to block out the images.

"Looks like he won't be playing basketball anymore now will he?", he says with a sly smile and a small laugh.

"What, were you jealous?", Eva asks, trying to get as much informations out of his as possible.

"Fuck no, I don't give a fuck about that ass hole.", he replies.

"Then why? Why did you do it?", she continues.

He smirks,"Try to figure it out."

Eva looks at me in an apologetic way, which confuses me at first; until she finishes her sentence.

"What about Laura?", she begins,"Laura Woolford."

I freeze. Laura was a girl in my math class. She's very pretty. Or should I say was.

"What about her?", Kevin says in a hostile tone,"She was just another one who happened to be on my hit list."

"Or maybe you just liked her? What happened, Kev. She rejected you, didn't she?", Eva asks.

Now, I can't help but look up at him.

But he doesn't look back. Instead he's staring at his mother with such hatred in his eyes, it makes me grateful that he's handcuffed to the desk.

"As you can see, Mumsey, Mary is my girlfriend, so you can rule out that fucking idea.", he says.

"Was.", I say quicky,"I WAS your girlfriend."

Surely enough, I soon began to feel warm tears running down my face.

The last symptom of being in a relationship with a sociopath: unfaithful partner.

Check.

"You made her cry. So great job on that.", Kevin sarcastically claps his hands,"And I never dated Laura."

"Kevin, why did you date me in the first place.", I look back up at him,"I know you never EVER fucking cared about me, so don't give me that bullshit!"

He tilts his head and studies me. But I can't help it. I have to get this off my chest now.

"I fucking loved you!", I stand up quickly, making the chair behind me fall back,"And you just used me!"

Kevin and Eva both stare at me, but I'm so hurt.

So hurt.

"Did you ever....ever love me at all?", I say between sobs.

"You know I do.", he tells me succinctly. But it doesn't take a genius to know he's lying.

"You know what Kevin?", I finally say,"I'm sorry, I was never good enough for you. I'm fucking sorry I'm not Laura....I honestly wish I never met you. You ruined my life. And I hate you."

Without another word, I walked out of the room.

No one stopped me.
