Mary's POV

*riiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg*

A moan escapes my lips as I rouse myself up to look at the clock.

8:00 A.M.

Time for Celia's feeding.

I sit up and stetch my arms high above my head before I slip on my slippers and walk to her room. Surprisingly enough, she isn't crying. She really doesn't cry that much anymore. So Kevin and I have both been getting much more sleep lately.

I walk into her room and as soon as Celia sees me she raises her tiny feet and arms, emmitting a small squeal.

"Good morning, sweetie!", I pick her up high above my head and spin in a circle before bringing her down to plant a kiss on her forehead. It's a routine that I've been doing more and more lately every morning.

"Today's a Saturday.", I say to her as I begin to feed her,"That means mommy and daddy don't have to go to work.".....Wait...

Daddy.

He doesn't have to go work either.

So where the hell is he?

I can't believe that I've just now noticed that Kevin isn't here. Not that I want to talk to him right now. But the only thought that's going through my mind is that he got into some sort of trouble...again.

"Kevin?", I call out just to make sure my senses aren't fooling me.

There's no response. So he definetely isn't here. Normally I would call his cellphone, but I'm so angry at what he did last night that I don't even want him here.

He literally scared the hell out of me; just following me around the house until I broke down crying. Kevin has done a lot of terrible things in the past, but he's never scared me as much as he did last night.

Well...except for the day when he went on his...spree.

That day will be permanently engraved in my mind and each and every detail will sustain in my memory until the day of my death.

The moment I looked into his angry and psychopathic eyes. And when I found his bow and arrow. And when he smothered me with the chloroformed rag.

I pinch the bridge of my nose and force myself to calm down; taking deep, long breaths in through my nose and out through my mouth.

As soon as Celia is done feeding, I pick her up and walk around the house while patting her back to burp her.

Ironically enough, the front door opens at the same moment I walk by it.

"Where have you been?", I ask, without turning around to look at him.

"Just out.", Kevin says as he shuts the door.

Keeping my eyes firmly on the ground, I walk towards the kitchen.

Suddenly, I feel a pair of arms snake their way across my waist and lips pressed against my neck. The simple gesture makes me burn up with both lust and anger.

"Happy Birthday, Mary."

I still don't answer. He should get a taste of his own medicine. Except I'm not going to follow him around the house giving him death stares.

"C'mon, sweetheart.", he moves his lips up to my left cheek,"I got your favorite breakfast."

The smell of pizza drifts through the air. I'm still such a child in some ways. My favorite breakfast is pizza with extra cheese as well as onions and mushrooms.
