Mary's POV

By now, Kevin and I have returned from our vacation and we're now on our way to pick up Celia.

The vacation went....really well, surprisingly. Obviously the first day was a bit crazy, thanks to me, but the other four days were very exciting.

Kevin and I had gone back to the casino, but this time I did not touch alcohol. I swear, it's like my number one enemy now.

I did talk to Benjamin however. And Kevin did too. I couldn't help, but smile everytime Benjamin winced when Kevin looked at him straight in the eye.

There's not much that I remember from the first night, except for the fact that I may or may not have mentioned Kevin to Benjamin. Judging by his body language, I'm pretty sure that I have.

I remember one conversation, in specific that actually made me laugh so hard and I was the only one who understood the joke.

"Why do you keep staring at me, man?", Kevin asked Benjamin one night.

"What?", Benjamin averted his eyes.

"You keep looking at me like I'm gonna rob you...or kill you. Or both.", Kevin said.

"You're not gonna rob me right?", Benjamin legitimately looked terrifed,"C'mon, man. I did nothing to you."

Kevin looked at Benjamin with such confusion and distaste,"What the hell?"

Benjamin looked at me, and by then I completely lost it.

"What?", Kevin asked me.

"Oh, nothing, babe.", I patted him on the shoulder,"Nothing at all."

Kevin didn't question me after that. He doesn't usually carry on conversations that don't interest him. So I was lucky on that part.

"Well it wasn't too bad was it?", Kevin asked me, suddenly pulling me back into the present.

"It was amazing.", I reach over and grab his free hand,"Best road trip I ever had. Thank you, Kevin. And good job and behaving."

"Ironically enough, I behaved more than you.", he winked at me,"You're a strange drunk."

"Am not!", I shot back,"Besides....I doubt I was even that drunk."

"I had to carry you home.", he laughed,"While you were singing the alphabet song...incorrectly if I might add."

"I was trying to give myself a sobriety test....", my face turned red in embarrassment.

"Well did you pass?", he teases me.

"Oh hush.", I roll my eyes,"At least I'm different when I drink. You act pretty much the same...well, you get lazy as hell."

"True.", he admits,"I get the most sleep when I'm hammered."

"Not sure if that should be a reason to drink.", I say,"Not that you even drink that often....oh, we're here!"

I practically run out of the car when we arrive at Eva's house. She answers a few moment after I ring the doorbell and immediately hands me Celia.

"Babygirl!", I raise her high above my head and bring her down to plant a kiss on her forehead,"Did you miss us? Oh, my sweet, sweet baby!"

Kevin looked at me and raised an eyebrow. But emotions have always befuddled him sometimes so I didn't care.

"Thanks again for taking care of her.", I tell Eva as she hands me the diaper bag.

"Oh, we go through this every time, Mary.", she gives a small laugh,"You know it's no trouble. Did the two of you have fun?"
