Bea's POV

I placed the tray in front of her and I instantly noticed how her eyes sparkled.

"Ito lang ba ang gusto mo?"

I jokingly asked as I gave her a 2-piece ChickenJoy, large Iced tea, extra large fries, and a hot chocolate sundae. I placed my Chicken meal and fries as well in front of me.

"For now, pwede na."

She said without even looking at me. I nodded and was about to eat when she stopped me. Confused, I asked her why.

"We have to pray. Ako na mag-lelead."

She held her hands together and made a sign of a cross before closing her eyes. Awkwardly I mimicked her position, hands together. Though, I didn't close my eyes. I stared at her.

Giving full attention to her features, from her hair, to her eyes, to her nose, and to her lips. She's pretty, beautiful rather. And as she speak the words of worship, her lips moved with so much grace.

"Salamat Lord, kasi kahit sobrang malas at careless ko today, binigyan mo pa rin ako ng isang tao na nilibre ako na kumain ngayon. I hope she's nice and has no plan of hurting me. I trust her in a way that I trust in you. All this I pray to you, Amen."

She opened her eyes and looked at me.

"Kain na tayo."

She nodded and concentrated on her food. So did I.

...

"I'm so full."

She took a deep breath while rubbing her tummy. I can't help myself but smile, she can't seem to finish her ice cream. The mini spoon sticking out from her mouth. Parang bata.

"Saan ka pagkatapos nito?"

"Ewan."

She gave me a frown. Perhaps reminded by her problems. Oops, wrong move. Sorry naman. But we have to tackle it anyway.

"Do you have a place to stay in?"

She shook her head. Taking out the spoon and dipping it on the cup of ice cream. I took the cup away from her and scooped a spoonful of ice cream and sticked it into my mouth. Her eyes went wide making me chuckle.

"I have an extra room in my condo unit."

"No! I'm fine. May mahahanap din naman ako."

"Siguro. Pero paano kung wala? All you have is this little luggage containing your clothes maybe, may plano ka ba magbenta ng damit mo? Last time I heard nawala yung pera mo."

"Pwede ba? Stop rubbing it in."

She rolled her eyes and took the spoon and ice cream off my hands and ate.

"I'm just saying, I'm offering you something good. Something you need. How can you say no?"

"I can figure something out."

"Psh, pride lang yan. Paki-lunok please. I insist kasi."

"Wala akong ibabayad sayo ngayon."

"You can pay me next time. It's fine. So ano? Is it a yes?"

"How can I even trust you that much?"

"Well, you said earlier that you trust me the way you trust Him. So ano?"

"Okay."

We smiled.

...

As we settle on my car with our seatbelts on, I looked at her direction.
