Chapter 34

The rest of the trip was the best one for both Jhoana and Beatriz. It didn't had to be extra special, they only wanted it to be a time they could spend together. They held each others hands not because they felt like they were losing each other. They held hands because it felt like the best thing in the world.

Bea would constantly stare at Jho not because it meant it was their last time together. She kept staring because Jhoana is the most beautiful girl she has seen in her life, and she's taking all the opportunity she could get. She no longer needed to pretend, no one is going to stop her for doing so. Not even Jhoana.

Of course she noticed. She noticed how she never felt like she was alone. It could have been creepy if it was told like how a horror story goes. That feeling of having someone's eyes on you and yet she didn't feel scared at all. If there was anything she could probably feel about it, it is the realisation that she is loved. So even if she felt like melting, she didn't complain about catching Bea staring at her for a hundred times. She would just smile and squeeze the latter's hand. 

And even if Bea hates how she is treated like a baby at the public, she would always do the pouting face when Jho won't feed her. She would reason out her way to win the argument. It's not like Jhoana was complaining, she just found Bea so adorable with all these pouting face. Who would've thought it would look so cute for a girl who measures 5 feet and 11 inches to act like a kid? 

Jhoana didn't but Beatriz proved her otherwise.

It didn't take long for them to get back to reality but they did not let go of each other's hand until they really had to. And just as they went out of the car, Bea gripped Jho's hand a little tighter.

Jho took a deep breath before she could face Bea who was looking a little sad.

"This won't be the last, remember? We promised."

She caressed the latter's face. Bea nodded and forced herself to smile.

"Of course it won't be. It's just that it may take a long time too.."

"Ano ka ba. Haven't you realized by now how worth the wait you are? Bea, our time will come."

"Right.. Maybe it's enough to simply want it for now."

Jhoana couldn't stop the smile that formed on her face as she pulled Bea into a hug.

"I would want it forever, Bea. I want nothing but forever with you."

Bea tightens their hug before burying herself into Jhoana's scent because she knew she would miss it for a while. Just a while..

Jho thought it would be nice to lighten things up so she chuckled and warned Bea.

"Don't you even think about visiting again. I don't even want to see my coworkers drool over you again."

"Hindi ka pa ba nasanay? And can't you realize that I want nothing in that office but you?"

Bea winked before kissing Jho on her forehead. Grabbed their bags and left the other people they met on their getaway but as much as Bea wanted to drive Jhoana home to safety, she got rejected too many times she decided to give up.

"This is the last time I'm going to give up on you."

Bea teased before she could park the car on the coffee shop where she found Jhoana a few days back. Jhoana chuckled before wrapping her arms around Bea's neck, choking the tall girl but came back with a kiss on the cheek.

"Mentally keeping a note on that, Beatriz. I have to go.."

"Teka, why not prolong the time together? Since nandito na din naman tayo, let's grab some coffee?"
