Chapter 38

"Bub! I have been looking all over for you. Akala ko ba nasa Toys section ka? Eh pang-babies naman dito eh."

Jho complained after kissing Bea's cheeks. She also pointed to the cribs, a baby high chair, a few baby mats, diaper bags, baby bottles and a whole lot more.

"May bagong De Leon member ba?"

"Nope."

She shook her head as she lifted a baby onesie that had a word "pooped" on it which made Bea laugh. Jho smiles at the sight of Bea laughing at a onesie.

"So bakit ka nga nandito?"

"Para sa magiging anak ko."

Bea said casually right before she stared at a box of 6 baby bottles. Jhoana stiffened.

"You're pregnant?!"

She shouted so loud it almost shook Bea's world making her drop the box of baby bottles.

"What? No no. I'm not pregnant, Hun. How could I? Eh wala pa nga."

She whispered the last sentence as she returns the bottles to the shelf.

"Bakit may anak? Nako Beatriz huwag na huwag kang magbibiro ng ganyan!"

Jho warned still dumbfounded by the exchange of conversation.

"Okay, let me rephrase that. Para sa magiging anak natin. Okay na?"

Bea smirks as she kisses Jhoana's temple, praying that the latter could calm down. Jhoana's facial expression started to soften before she pinched Bea's side.

"Ouch! Jho! What was that for?"

She pouted at her who has now started to turn red.

"Not yet!"

She warned before leaving Bea behind. It took Bea a few seconds to understand before she turned into a smiling dork.

"Not yet."

She repeated but couldn't help but feel giddy. Bea followed the blushing morena girl who was walking towards the toys section. She didn't tease further, she doesn't want another part of her get pinched all of a sudden.

"Nagbibiro lang po. Love you."

She whispered softly and kissed Jhoana's cheek again.

They were doing some Christmas shopping for the little De Leon's. Bea had missed giving them gifts for years now and since they are planning to attend this year's Christmas with them, she might as well make them happy.

She grabbed gadgets, barbie dolls, legos, play-doh, dinosaurs, toy cars, and a lot of things until they had a big shopping cart full of toys. Bea also bought a few Playstation games because she and Jho are into video games now.

"Is this everything you need?"

"I hope so. Bakit kasi ang laki laki ng pamilya namin? Parang malulugi ata ako."

"Hindi yan, You'll be fine. Uy, ang gift ko ah?"

"Ha? Hindi pa ba sapat na nandito na ako?"

"Psh. Kuripot nito. Buti nalang mahal kita."

Jho stuck her tongue at Bea before they headed to the counter and paid for everything.

Right after that, they headed to have some dinner to where Bea excused herself. Jho waited for their meal and guarded all their things.

It was two days before Christmas and Jhoana has been casual about everything. Little did Bea know how scared she was deep into her bones. She was finally meeting Bea's family, again! But this time, it's a bigger family. Who knows? They could be meaner than Bea's Mom.
