In Screaming Color

Chapter 22

It was already around 7 in the morning and Bea was awake since 4 AM but she couldn't find strength to force herself to stand up. The condo unit was quite worse than the past two days she and Jho were ignoring each other. This time, there's no sign of Jho at all.

She was instantly distracted when her alarm turned on. It was time for her to get up and get ready to work. She took a bath and changed into her working clothes before stepping out of her room.

She instantly stared at the stove in her kitchen. There was no hot pan cooking scrambled eggs or bacon. The coffee maker was not even plugged in. There was no one humming a song and was swaying her hips with the tune. All these thoughts made Bea grab her car keys faster than any superhero and locked her condo unit.

"I'll just have coffee later."

She mumbles to herself as she hears her stomach grumble in hunger. As she reached her car and hopped in, she quickly turned on her car stereo ang played some songs to keep her busy from deep thoughts about how Jho would talk to her and keep her entertained while waiting for the red traffic light to turn green.

She glances towards the seat beside her and would quickly shake her head to stop herself.

"Calm down. Stop missing her too much. Makikita mo na siya ulit sa office. See? Everything is still better than you think."

She comforts herself and focuses on driving faster and safe.

As the elevator opens, she was warmly greeted by her employees. But she was looking towards Jhoana's table and wonders why it is still empty.

"Good morning, Miss Bea. Sino po ang hinahanap mo?"

Ria would tease. Bea glares at her before answering the question.

"Wala pa si Jho?"

"Dumating na kanina. Nasa pantry ata. Baka nagtimpla ng kape. Ay, gagawa pala ako para sa sarili ko. Gusto mong gawan din kita?"

"Nope. I'm fine. Sige, pasok na ko sa office."

Ria nodded and Bea settles herself on the sofa inside her office. She wanted to see Jho but she wasn't sure if Jho wanted the same thing too. But as she hears her stomack grumble in hunger again, she found an excuse of doing so.

"Bakit ang haggard mong tingnan? Nakatulog ka ba?"

"Konti lang. Kasi... Ewan, naninibago lang siguro sa apartment. Gusto mo ng coffee diba, Ri? Gawan nalang din kita."

"Sama mo naman ako."

Bea enters the room and joins Ria and Jho. The room went dead silent and Jho was just staring at Bea. Quite not sure if her boss was serious about her request.

"You know how I want my coffee diba?"

"Opo, Miss Bea. Sandali lang po."

Jho turns around and focuses on making Bea her loved coffee. Bea took a seat infront of Ri and the two started talking too.

"Oh? Akala ko ba ayaw mo ng coffee?"

"Nagreklamo eh."

She points on her tummy.

"Hindi ka nagbreakfast?"

"Uh no.." She looks at Jho who still had her back facing the two. "Wasn't really in the mood of making some scrambled eggs."

"Ahhh. Okay."

Ria would smile and looks at the two. Jho gave Ria and Bea their cup of coffee and when Jho was about to leave, Bea stopped her.
