In Screaming Color

Chapter 3

Bea's POV

"Good morning, Jho. Upo ka na."

"Hala, nag-abala ka pa. Ako na sana gumawa niyan. Sorry na late ako ng gising, wala kasi akong alarm."

"Okay lang yan, ako naman ang dahilan kung bakit ka napuyat eh."

I placed a plate of bacon and eggs in front of her and gave her a cup of coffee. I sat on the chair in front of her and we ate in silence. It's 10 in the morning, we both had a long sleep due to sleeping late last night.

"Ready ka na ba?"

"Hm, hindi ko alam."

"Kayang kaya mo yan. I'm sure you practiced on your way here, you can practice later on our way to your interview."

"Our way? Sasama ka?"

"Ihahatid lang kita. I have to go to work as well. Turo mo nalang kung saang street mamaya. Okay?"

"Thanks Bea. Hindi na ko aayaw kasi wala naman akong pera para sa transportation. Hayaan mo, babayaran talaga kita sa unang sweldo ko."

"Get a job first, saka mo na yan isipin. Do your best later, yes?"

"Yes."

And we toast our cups of coffee.

"Bea, that's it. That's the building."

"Ha? Sure ka?"

"Oo. BDL corp. building oh. One of the finest company in the city. Sa front mo na ako ibaba ah? I can't be late. Hay Thank God I have you." She gathered her things and I pressed on the break in front of the building she just pointed. She got off the car and before closing the door she looked back at me. "Thank you for the lucky charm! See you later!" she waved her hand where a wristwatch was attached to it.

The wristwatch I always wear when I need some luck. I waved goodbye to her although I know we won't be apart for a long time. BDL corp., how can she not notice?

I thought she was going to a building nearby, I never thought or maybe just brushed off the idea that she may be going for an interview in our  company. What are the odds!

I drove straight to the parking lot and parked to where my name was marked. Went on the tenth floor and straight to my office. My assistant followed me upon entrance.

"Ms. Bea, good morning po. Here are a few papers I need you to read and sign." handing me two folders.

"When is this needed?" I asked my secretary, Ria.

"Tomorrow po." I nodded.

"Thanks Ri. I'll give this to you first thing in the morning. What happened earlier? Sorry absent ako."

"Wala naman, nandito lang yung Mommy mo. May interview ata for hiring employees."

"Yeah. Kind of figured that out on the way here. Sige Ri, I'll call you when I need something."

"Sige Bei, maiwan na kita."

She smiled before leaving my office. I tend to have good relationships with our employees. My Mom is strict already, no need to add up the tension when she's here. Ria is a good friend of mine through time since she worked here the same year I did. We can act casual inside my office. Also, I insisted her to call me Bei, nickname ko naman yun sa friends ko, though she only does it when we're alone.

I went on reading the papers I left yesterday though I can't seem to concentrate. Jho's face keeps flashing in my head.

"Kamusta na kaya siya.."
