Chapter 27

Therese nods to the secretary before she entered the office she has often visited for the past weeks. She was greeted by a smile as she gave her a peck on the cheeks.

"Good morning, Hija. Galing ka ba sa office ni Bea?"

"No tita, kakarating ko lang. I.. I have something that kept bothering me for the past few days."

"What is it? What did Bea do now?"

"She didn't do something naman, Tita. Eh kasi, Bea got sick noon nakaraan.."

"And you took care of her?"

She beamed a smile and Therese felt sorry to say no.

"Yes I did, Tita. It brought me and Bea closer to each other again."

"Good! That's good to hear. Just continue what you're doing. Trust me, Hija. Nalilito lang iyang anak ko. Sooner or later, she will realize is just nothing and you.. You are the perfect one for her. Besides, with the past you two have, how hard could it be?"

Therese smiles and nods. Yeah, how hard could it be?

"Just tell me what I can help you with, Therese. That's the least that I could do after you agreed of taking Beatriz back. And away from nonsense, away from Jhoana."

These past few days, Therese is nothing but clingy. If she was clingy before, imagine her 10x to that. It was starting to get into Bea's nerves. It started to make her feel uncomfortable and annoyed but she just couldn't find the words to make Therese stop and at the same time, not hurt her. Therese has been acting like her girlfriend, and knowing that Jho can see everything is making her cringe.

"Bei, look what I have! The pasta you were craving yesterday!"

"What? Uh, you shouldn't have."

Bea shakes her head as she approached Therese who was waiting outside her office. Why? Ria kept her office locked while they were gone for a meeting. It was a personal request of hers. But it kind of backfired because everyone near her office could see and hear Therese.

"Ano ka ba? It wasn't much of a hassle. I just don't want you hungry."

Therese caresses her arm before kissing her cheeks.

Bea saw Ria shaking her head who was behind Therese. If only Bea could do the same.

"Eh paano kung hindi ko na to kini-crave ngayon?"

"I doubt. Ikaw pa ba? Hindi ka naman tumitigil hanggang di mo nakukuha ang gusto mo eh." That, Bea agrees to. That's why she won't give up on Jho just yet. "That's something we have in common." Therese beamed.

"Well, okay. Thank you Trey."

Bea was about to enter her office when Trey got to mention something she didn't expect.

"Bei, can you come with me? I'm planning to take a break. Bakasyon lang."

"Uh, Trey kasi.. I would love to pero ang dami kong dapat gawin."

"Sige na, it wouldn't even take that long. Just two days and one night, pagbigyan mo na ako."

"Trey, look. Tingnan mo yung paligid mo, they have been working really hard. Nakakahiya naman kung magbabakasyon ako tapos sila puspusan na nagtatrabaho dito."

Trey did look around and saw how busy people were. Not that sitting and typing on their computer screens busy. They are actually on a frantic state of busy, sprinting around passing files. They look like delayed on their submission dates.
