   Victoria's POV

I was startled awake, sweating and gasping for air as if I had a nightmare, I recalled none so I quickly brushed it off. I couldn't, however, brush off how suddenly cold it was in my room and in my groggy state I didn't quite realize until later why that was. It was pitch dark and I couldn't see but it didn't take me long to realize that I was no longer sitting at my desk where I had fallen asleep nor was I in my bed, heck I wasn't even in my bedroom. Somehow I had managed to awake in the middle of a dark alley. 'How did I get here? Did I sleep walk?' I've never sleepwalked before but I suppose there's a first time for everything. I stood up slowly from where I had been slumped with my back against the wall, I was silent, speechless even moreover I was confused. 'Where the hell was I?' I shuffled around a bit before my foot hit something. I looked down at my feet and saw that my mint green hand fan was sitting on the ground next to where I woke. I picked it up and examined it. Had I been carrying this the entire time I was sleepwalking? Placing the fan in my inner blazer pocket I glanced down both ends of the alley finding which one led to the main street, once I was out in the open I was able to assess my surroundings and come to a conclusion. "I have no idea where I am" That was saying something considering I have been through all of the neighborhoods and towns surrounding the Wanabuse's neighborhood and I have never once stumbled across a town like this, it seemed so old fashioned. "How odd" I scratched the back of my head in confusion. A sudden chill ran down my spine and I shivered, as I looked up I noticed that it began to snow. 'Huh? How strange, last time I checked it was the middle of June it shouldn't be snowing' I had to have been kidnapped and taken far away from Tokyo possibly to a mountainside village that might explain the snow

I hardly believed my own theory, I had no reason to be kidnapped let alone be kidnapped and then left in the middle of nowhere by myself. Where was everybody? I get that it was dark out but surely there must be some late nighters wandering the streets. That might not have been a good thing but in my situation I just really wanted to know where I was, someone had to be around out here somewhere. I began trekking down the main road glancing back and forth between houses and street alleys, not too far down the road I heard footsteps as I expected, there were people out here! I continued walking in the direction of the footsteps which I noticed were rather rushed but I didn't think anything of it. When I made it to where the roads intersected a body rushed around the corner running straight into me. *Thud* we both went tumbling to the ground. I looked over to the person to apologize even though they kind of ran into me but when I opened my mouth the person was already scrambling to their feet muttering a quick 'Sorry' before running off in the direction I had just come from. As I watched the figure scamper off something clicked 'That kinda looked like-Naw couldn't have been, but they were wearing the same clothes' Not a second later I was sprinting after them, one to confirm my suspicion and two to ask for directions. What? They had been the first person I had come in contact with 'Literally' since I woke up here I wasn't missing this opportunity. As I ran I began to think about how possible it was that the person I saw was actually who I thought it was. I may have only caught a quick glimpse but I swore they looked a lot like 'Chizuru, from the anime Hakuouki. That's impossible...isn't it?' Now that I thought about it, it would explain why this place is old fashioned looking, we'd be in the 1860's, and now that I take a good look at the place I recognize some things like 'That alley!' That's the alley Chizuru ducked into to hide from those Ronin.

With that said I followed suit, into the alley, my pace now a slow cautious walk toward the spot I knew Chizuru was hiding, I didn't want to approach to suddenly because I knew she carried her Kodachi on her and could possibly pull it on me. "Hello, I know you're down here. I just wanted to apologize for running into you back there and was wondering if you were okay, you ran off so quickly I didn't get the chance to ask" I whispered softly enough that the searching Ronin wouldn't hear me. My soft and calm tone must have soothed her nerves enough to allow her the will to move her limbs. I slowly saw her peek out from behind a wooden well, she didn't speak only stared at me probably deciding whether or not to trust me. I was 100% certain now that I got a good look at her face that it was indeed Chizuru Yukimura which meant one thing and one thing only...I was dreaming. Makes sense considering that I longed to watch more of the anime, I was still in a Hakuouki frenzy I suppose you could say. Though I'm actually amazed I've never had a dream quite this vivid before it seems so real. Suddenly I heard multiple pairs of hurried footsteps getting closer to us and I knew that it must have been the Ronin. "They're coming. Hide" Chizuru grabbed the sleeve of my uniform blazer and pulled my back behind the well with her. 'Wait a minute, if this was a dream why is it happening in the exact order that happened in the anime? Minus the fact that I'm in it' I heard the footsteps come to a stop, they were in front of the alley I could tell by the proximity of their voices. "Dammit! Where'd he go?" I heard one of the Ronin curse. I looked to Chizuru as she breathed heavily, in her eyes you could tell she was scared, surprisingly enough I was pretty calm, maybe it was because I knew what was supposed to happen and everything would be okay...or it was because I knew this was a dream and nothing could possibly harm me.
