Ch. 22: The Potion

Aphmau's POV

Yay! We're going to Lucinda's apartment! The place where you get to make dangerous potions that may or may not kill you. There's a 1% chance of someone coming out of Lucinda's apartment without a scratch. Yeah, I know what you're thinking.
Aphmau, this won't be bad. You'll be fine! It's just Lucinda.
Yeah... Lucinda is the girl who makes deadly potions and makes everything go from bad to worse. It's not her fault!...........I guess......... It's the potions that mess everything up! Yeah! Ok, let's just forget it and get today over with.
Katelyn knocked on Lucinda's door. I hope this was the right place. I told Lucinda we were coming and she texted back her address. Hopefully she didn't tell us the wrong one.

"Glad you brought up Lucinda, Aphmau." Katelyn said. Oh yeah! I'm the one who gave the idea for us to come here in the first place. Ugh..... Aphmau...... "Sure I do hate Lucinda. Like, HATE Lucinda, but she is probably our best bet." Yeah, our best bet to die. I thought as I kept my eyes locked on the door. What's taking so long. Katelyn knocked again.

"Hey! You coming to open the door, witch?!??!?" Katelyn yelled at the door. Finally, the door opened. I saw Lucinda wearing a black tank top and skinny jeans. She had black converse and her long fire hair in a ponytail.

"Geez, Katelyn. I was just working on a potion." Lucinda said.

"Was it the potion for me?" Katelyn asked.

"Pfft, no. It was an invisibility potion." Lucinda said.

"Why do you need an invisibility potion?" I asked.

"Because." She said.

"Because.....?" Katelyn questioned.

"Just because. Now come on in and let's make some magic!" Lucinda said as she let us in. She had a medium sized kitchen and a medium sized living room. We walked into a room. It was full of potion and witchcraft stuff that I didn't know of.

"So, how do we make a potion?" Katelyn asked.

"Well, what type of potion do we need to make?" Lucinda asked.

"We need something that will keep Travis away from Katelyn..." I said.

"Travis? Is that the guy that chased you around the pool?" Lucinda looked over at Katelyn. I tried to hold back a smile.

"Ugh... Shut up and let's get this over with!" Katelyn said.
