Ch. 36: The Text

Aphmau's POV

"Katelyn! Get in here!" I screamed. Yeah, I'm not dumb. I know Katelyn was talking to.... Him.... Sure, I can be oblivious at times, but this was obvious.

#1: Katelyn never leaves the room when she's talking to... Nicole.... And they never tell each other secrets.

#2: She was whispering to him about something. I don't know what though.

#3: I heard her literally saying his name on the phone! She was kinda screaming it....

Katelyn came into the room.

"Yes?"

"Can you hand me the bag of chips?"

"Sure... " She walked in the kitchen and grabbed the bag, laying on the countertop. She came back and handed it to me.

"Here....."

"Thanks..." I opened the bag and started to munch on a chip.

Ahhh.... Potato chips make everyone feel better. So does ice cream. And breadsticks.... Oh! And don't forget hot wings!

"Sooo.... Aph.... You and Garroth not getting along very well..."

"So?"

"Okay! Aphmau! Just talk to him! He didn't even do that much!"

"Yes! He did! You should have heard the things he said!"

"I bet you he didn't mean it!"

"Yada yada yada! I don't care!"

"Aphmau! This isn't like you! Is there something you're not telling me!?"

"Katelyn! I'm perfectly fine!"

"Oh yeah! You're perfectly fine! You're sitting here, in an over sized shirt, short shorts, eating a bag of potato chips, and looking like a sad sack at 4:00 in the afternoon! And that's not all! When I went to bed last night here, I heard little weeps coming out of you!

"No! That was Celeste!"

"*Bark! Bark!*" 

"Quiet Celeste! Mommy is busy!"

"See! You're going crazy! Aphmau! You need Garroth! I'm calling him right now!" She quickly took out her phone. I put the chips on the table and jumped on Katelyn. I tried to get the phone out of her grip, but she was too strong.

"It's not like you already called him!" I yelled.

"What!? You heard?!"

"Yes!  You were going to tell him what Laurance and I were talking about!! You blabber mouth!!!" I yelled.

"Argh!!" I finally grabbed her phone out of her hand and ran to the bathroom door and locked it.

I pressed on his contact and started texting him.

Garroth's POV

I was waiting for a call back from Katelyn, if she ever was gonna call back.

*Ding*

"That must be her!" I yelled happily as I picked up my phone.

Now I'm gonna get the information I need.

I opened up the text message.

K: Listen, Aphmau told me to tell you this:
You know that you started that fight. It's all your fault. You know you're a selfish brat that treats me like a trophy. So why don't you do us all a favor and just get out of our lives. You're useless.
PS: You're a bad kisser...

I felt all my tears come out of my eyes.

Am I really like that to her? But.... I can be strong! For Aphmau!

I texted Katelyn back.

G: I don't care if she thinks of me that way. I love her... And that's all that matters. I'm coming over now.

It's true I love Aphmau. Pretty much only Katelyn, Laurance, and Dante know that. Aphmau is gonna learn that I love her no matter what!

Aphmau's POV

He..... Loves me.....? Argh! He's just trying to get to my head with his charming ways! Ugh! I texted him back.

K: No! NONONONO!!! You do not have to come over! I can deal with her myself!

G: You said you wanted to help me...

I knew Katelyn was helping him!

K: Oh! I got to go! Aphmau says she's tried and wants sleep! See ya!

G: Be aware that I'm coming. See ya!

Ugh! I can't think of a way to tell him not to come without hinting to him that I'm not Katelyn! I've already hinted enough already!

"Aphmau! Aphmau! Get out of this bathroom!!!!" Katelyn screamed as she banged on the door.

How am I going to get out of here...?
