Ch. 37: The Flashback

Aphmau's POV

*Flashback*

I got up and started walking to the door.

"Wait! Where are you going?!" Laurance asked.

"Away from you two." I walked out the door and left Garroth and Laurance behind.

How could Garroth brag about him having me? How could Laurance call Garroth ugly? Ugh! Those two are friends! They shouldn't be fighting! I'm just mad at both of them.

I walked out of Laurance's apartment building. I turned and saw some familiar faces.

"What do you want...?" I asked.

"Easy. We want to talk to you." He said.

"And why would you want to talk to me?"

"Because, I'll give you your phone back." He held up my phone.

"Gene! How did you--"

"And! I've got something else to tell you!" Gene cut me off.

"What?"

"Well follow us and we'll tell you there..." He said. I rolled my eyes and followed them. We walked past a couple of buildings and walked into a small, dark alley. There was a weird foul odor in the air.

Dumpster.... I think...

"Alright, Kitty. I recommend you forgive Laurance..." Gene said.

"What! You heard!?"

"Of course not. We just know because of your face expression." Sasha said.

These people must be stalkers....

"Anyways.... We know Laurance. We know that when he gets mad, he starts to say rubbish. Like calling us ugly, saying he hates us, and saying a bunch of bad stuff to us." Gene said.

"Okay....?"

"We're just saying he didn't mean it!" Zenix blurted out.

"Zenix! Ahem... Anyways, he's right. Laurance didn't mean to call Blondie bad stuff. But.... Blondie meant everything he said. He was just using you because he wanted to make his friend jealous!" Gene explained.

"Garroth would never do that..." I mumbled. I felt tears roll down my cheek.

"But the things he said say otherwise." Gene held out my phone to me. "I recommend you avoid Blondie. He may seem like a handsome dreamboat, but just know that he's using you."

I took my phone from him. I hid it in my pocket.

Maybe Gene was right. Maybe avoiding Garroth could be the best. Maybe Garroth did mean it...?

"Thanks for telling me.... I guess..." I said as I slowly walked away. I wiped the tears that were falling from my eyes.

*Ending Flashback*

For five minutes, Katelyn had been banging on the bathroom door.

I held her phone tighter in my hands.

"Get out Aphmau! Get out now!!!" She screamed.

I then heard a faint knocking sound. Katelyn stopped yelling and shouting.

Darn it! It's him...

I heard the door open. Faint footsteps walked over to the bathroom.

"Aphmau...?" I heard his voice say. He seemed calm.

"Ugh! Aphmau! Get out! We have a guest and I need my phone back!" Katelyn screamed.

"Wait... Your phone? Aphmau has it?"

He knows.....

"Yeah! Why...?" Katelyn asked.

"Ehhhh.... No reason...." He said.

Garroth's POV

Why do I have to be so stupid!?

I don't know Garroth! Probably because you are!

So, Aphmau was the one texting me. It was so obvious, but with my stupidity, I didn't see it.

Why is this so hard? Why is she so mad? I know I did wrong. I said I was sorry. I guess sorry just isn't enough...

Important A/N
Hello! So this book is coming to an end on Ch. 50. That's kinda far but it feels really close to me. I really enjoyed writing this book! But all stories come to an end.

And a new one begins.

But, I don't know what to write.
