Artemis let me move back in the Saturday after Halloween. Isis glared at me softly the whole time I walked from Miss Wendy's car to Darian's (or Prince's and my) room. I didn't mind; I mean she was paying attention to me so I was okay.

Anyway, today was Monday so we all got up lazily to get ready. I usually wouldn't get up until the last minute and take a shower, but since they moved we all have to get up earlier than normal.

"How we getting to school?" I asked as we all stood around the kitchen, eating. Artemis made pancakes, eggs, and bacon.

"Wendy's car. She's not going any where today and if she has to, she'll call my Maw Maw to pick her up." Artemis answered. I nodded.

"I miss Maw Maw. She is the most beautiful woman ever." Prince smiled.

"And what about me?" Artemis asked.

"Don't you look like her? She's your grandmother who had your mother, who had you. Making you equally as beautiful as her." Prince kissed Artemis's cheek. I smiled then frowned with a sigh.

I wish I could still say corny stuff like that to Isis. It'll come back soon enough.

"Come on let's go or we'll be late." Juno said. We all scrambled to get our bags and get into the car.

"Ooh! I have waited for this day since I was twelve!" Artemis squealed as I slid into the backseat behind her. She was driving today and was searching through the armrest looking for something.

"Looking for the CD?" Isis asked as she pulled out a CD from her purse.

"Thank you! Now put it!" Artemis smiled. Juno and Prince got into the car before the doors were closed and the music blared through the speakers.

"I be stroking. Put yo back into it. I be stroking. Dis is how you do it. I be stroking. Dis is how you do it. Dis is how do it."

The loud bounce music filled the car as Artemis drove to school. She and Isis were dancing in their seats while people looked at our car in annoyance. We couldn't even hear each other talk unless we yelled, the music was so loud. When we got to school, a lot of girls started dancing and twerking.

"Ghetto asses." I shook my head as we got out of the car with the music still playing.

"Fuck dat nigga dat I used to have. I got me Desolonde nigga, now these hoes is mad. Fuck dat nigga dat I used to have. I got me a Desolonde nigga, now these hoes is mad."

I have never seen girls twerk so hard like they do here in New Orleans.

"These girls be trying so hard." Prince told me as Artemis turned the car off and locked it before we walked through the metal detectors.

"They do though." I nodded. We walked to the outside tables where Ray, Prod, Brittany, Jari, and everyone we usually hang with where. I didn't sit at the table with them because of Isis, so I went to sit by some guys on the football team. Coach Jones recently let me on the team.

"You ready for practice, Roc?" Speedy, the quarterback, asked.

"Yeah. Of course." I nodded as I looked at Isis.
