"Come on, girls! I want you to push harder!" I shouted at the flag team.

Recently I was stated captain because Ta'Nisha ended up getting in trouble for having one too many fights, so she was put off the flag team.

All the girls twirled their flags the hardest that they could as the band played. We were going over the field show for our game against Landry-Walker in the Super Dome for the State Championship. All of the marching units were in the freezing cold, practicing.

"Artemis, it's cold! My hands are freezing!" Talia whined.

"I don't care. Push through it." I said as Jari and I marched over to Prince, Prod, Ray, and Roc with Brittany, and Isis for the solo dance we had with the boys.

"All you need is consistent love....Til we get it right we gone love some more.... Vroom, vroom, vroom, get gasoline. Could I be your wife? Naw we could bang though. I got these dudes whipped-- call me Django...."

The dance was cute, sexy and everything in between. When it came to Nicki's part, Brittany and Isis gave Ray and Roc their pomp pomps while Jari and I gave Prod and Prince our flags. We did a sexy dance together as the band planned and everyone danced. When we finished the dance, the boys threw our things to us as we flipped back. We caught them and Brittany and Isis started dancing as hard as possible as Jari and I twirled as fast as possible.

"Alright! That's enough for today. Thank you. Band, upstairs!" The band director, Christopher Harrero, said.

"With his fine ass!" Yulissa shouted from the trombone section.

"Fine ass Mexican!" I shouted.

"You betta be talking about me!" Prince shouted.

"Uh huh. Yeah! I was talking about you, baby!" I laughed as I walked to my team. Prince winked at me and I winked back.

"Okay girls. That was great. You can all go. Get warm." I pushed them off.

Jari and I watched as they rushed to get inside the school.

"Can you believe it's already December?" I asked.

"I know right. My birthday, Christmas, Prod's birthday, New Year's." Jari said.

"Then back on tour." I sighed. Tears threatened to spill as I bit my lip. "I don't wanna leave, Jewel. Just like Behrman, Karr holds so many memories for me. Good and bad."

"I know, Princess. I know." Jari smiled softly. "We'll be back in May, right? We'll cut up for all of May, okay? Karr gonna miss us more than Behrman will."

She and I laughed together as we went inside.

"Ready to go?" Prod asked as we meet up with him and everyone else.

"Yup. I'm dead tired." Jari leaned on Prod.

"Come on. Let's go, my Jewel." Prod picked her up and carried her out of the school.

"Awww! So cute!" I shouted after them. Jari threw up the finger at me. "Love you, too Jari, girl!"

I was swept off my feet by someone and I screamed.

"And there's my Princess. Mwah!" Prince kissed me dramatically.

"Don't do that!" I squealed as I wrapped my arms around his neck. "How was your day, baby?"
