Artemis

I groaned as a knocking on the hotel door woke me from my deep sleep.

"Jacob, go open the door." I muttered as I snuggled more into my pillow.

"No. Whoever it is can come back later." Prince moved closer to me, wrapping his arm around my waist.

"This is Artemis' father. Y'all better be decent. I'm coming back in five minutes to take Artemis out for Valentine's Day. If you aren't decent I'm beating both of you." Daddy said and I jumped up. I ran for the bathroom butt naked and hopped into the shower.

I took the fastest shower of my life as Prince cleaned the room and put on some pajamas. I threw on an outfit I had planned to wear with Prince today but plans change when your father knocks on your hotel room door the night after you and your boyfriend have sex.

"Artemis. Come on. Let's go." Daddy said as he knocked. I spit out toothpaste, rinsed my mouth, and grabbed my phone, purse, and room key before opening the door.

"Hey Daddy. I missed you so much." I hugged him tightly.

"Mmhmm." He narrowed his eyes. "Let's go."

I saw Juno standing behind him. I sighed and closed the door.

"I tried to text you to warm you, but he got there too quick." Juno said.

"It's cool." I sighed. "How are we going to get through today with him?"

"I have no idea." Juno said and we both sighed together.

Isis

"What you wanna do today?" Roc asked as he kissed my neck softly.

"I don't know. I like this right now." I smiled.

"Me too, but we're gonna go out and do something. Let's go walkin' around the French Quarter. I never really been." He said.

"What about when we did the Used To Be video?" I asked.

"That was work. I meant just because. Be my personal tour guide?" He asked softly.

"Of course." I smirked. "Go get dressed."

"You first." He pushed me off the bed.

"Jackass." I snapped and got up to get dressed.

When we were both dressed, we drove to the ferry to go across the river.

"What you mean two dollars each?" Roc asked me as we got into the building.

"You know since they too the tolls off the bridge they put tolls on the ferries. Two dollars both ways. And if you're in a car it's a dollar for the car then a dollar for each person in the car." I said as I paid four dollars.

"What kinda-- that just don't make sense." He grumbled as we went to the part of the ferry where you could stand.

"Field trips to French Quarter at Behrman used to be the best. Café Dumane then the IMAX or Aquarium. I remember in fifth grade the librarian took me, Juno, Artemis, and Alexa to the French Quarter. She took us all over. We went to the best candy shop and this Mexican restaurant and the Flee Market. We all got different Mardi Gras masks. Artemis and I still have ours." I smiled as I watched the other side if the river get closer and closer.

"So we should start with Café Dumane?" Roc asked with a smile.

"Yeah. Let's go." I grabbed his hand and dragged him off the ferry as it docked.
