Dear Maggie,
Dred Scott's trial with the Supreme Court is going to be in 2 days. I hope he wins and becomes free.
2 months ago, in January, Elijah proposed to me for marriage. I, of course, accepted. He will be coming with me to the trial to await the outcome.
This is a short entry because we need to leave for Washington, D.C. in an hour or so. I am currently packing for the trip.
I hope you are comfortable in heaven at the moment.
