Chapter 56

Alex's POV

It was finally Christmas Eve! Even though it was cold, I loved the holidays.

Alayna: "Are we going to granny's yet?"

Yn: "If you go put your shoes and coat on, maybe."

She ran off towards the stairs.

Yn: "No running!"

Alayna: "Sorry!"

We both laughed, shaking our heads as I held Yn from behind.

Yn: "Ready for that game tomorrow?"

Alex: "Yup! No way we should lose."

Yn: "Good. We'll be cheering you on from the skybox."

Alex: "Which is why I have to win." I kissed her cheek and she turned to face me. Her hands untied the string on my sweatpants as she smirked at me. "You're so bad."

Yn: "Oh but you like it." She put her hands down my boxers and began to play with me. I bent down and kissed her lips softly as my hands began to roam. We stopped as we heard Alayna running back down the stairs. "We'll finish this later."

Alex: "Yes we will."

Alayna: "I'm ready!"

Alex: "Alrighty super girl," I picked her up and threw her in the air as she giggled.

Yn: "Tucker's meeting us there, right?"

Alex: "Yeah I think so."

Alayna: "How many gifts do I get to open tonight?"

Yn: "All of them and then you come back home and open these ones. Daddy has gifts at his house too."

Alayna: "Awesomesauce!"

Yn: "Hey! Word stealer." Yn tickled her as we all laughed.

Finally we were on our way to her parents'. We thought it would be best for Alayna to spend Christmas with her dad so after our Christmas Eve gathering, she was leaving and Yn and I would be alone for the night. Tomorrow, everyone was going to the game after breakfast to watch us take on Dallas.

Alayna: "Papa! Granny!" She ran into the house and hugged them.

Mr. Blake: "Hey sweet pea!" He picked her up into a hug as we greeted everyone.

Yn: "It smells like I'm about to get fat and full." We all laughed because we agreed.

Soon after, my parents, Tucker, Kaili and her parents, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Kyle, Troy and her best friend clan with their parents had arrived. The house was buzzing with excitement and happiness.

Mrs. Blake: "Since we're all here, I'll began with a prayer and then we all will eat."

After she was done praying, we all dug in. The food was delicious and I was happy to spend today with some amazing people.

Yn: "We have an announcement." She stood up and I followed suit. "We felt that marriage does not make a baby, but that love do."
