Chapter 40

Alex POV

When we got upstairs, we saw red trailing from the side of the bed to the bathroom. Alayna had ran over to Tuck and buried her head in his chest. I followed the trail to the bathroom and found Yn just throwing up blood.

Alex: "Tuck, call 911! Now!"

I ran over to her just as she fainted right in my arms.

Alex: "No baby! Come on, wake up! Yn, please!"

I could feel a faint pulse as tears started to fall from my eyes. I don't know what I would do if I lost her. After two minutes of waiting, I picked her up and took her downstairs. I couldn't wait any longer for EMS and decided to take her myself.

Tucker: "Where you going?"

Alex: "They're not going to get here in time!"

Tucker: "Well I'll drive."

I didn't object as we got into his truck. He put Alayna in the front so I could sit in the back with Yn. He got us to the hospital in under 6 minutes and we rushed in to doctors expecting us.

Doctor: "How long has she been unconscious," he asked as they placed her on the hospital bed and rolled her down the hall.

Alex: "A little under 10 minutes."

They raced down the hall into a ER, stopping me at the door.

Doctor: "Sir, you can't come in here."

Alex: "But she needs me."

Doctor: "I'm sorry but you'll have to wait out here."

Tucker came over and guided me to the waiting room and we sat down.

Tucker: "Want me to call her parents?"

I just nodded my head and handed him my phone. He started calling her parents and ours. In about 15 minutes, they all were here and looking just as scared as I felt. They started asking me questions and I tried my best to explain it but it all happened so fast.

Alayna: "What's wrong with auntie Yn? Daddy, I'm scared."

Tucker: "I know baby. She'll be alright, trust me." But I knew by his face, he didn't believe it himself.

Diggy POV

I was out on the courts with Russ and my dad when my dad's phone rung. He told us to hold up while he answered it. We continued to play but as I was watching my dad's facial expressions I knew it was nothing good.

Diggy: "Yo, dad. What's up?"

He finished talking and then came back over to us.

Mr. Simmons: "We gotta go."

Russ: "What's wrong."

Diggy: "Yeah. What's up?"

Mr. Simmons: "I'll tell you on the way."

We all grabbed our stuff and jumped in the car. After about 5 minutes, I had to break the silence.

Diggy: "Dad, can you tell us now? Where are we going?"

Mr. Simmons: "To the hospital."

Diggy: "For what? Who's in there?"
