Jane sat at her desk and filled out some paperwork from the first three interviews. She was like a bomb, bound to go off at any moment. She hadn't slept in three days, she couldn't catch this guy, she was just so stressed in general. She had so much going on in her head, in her life. There was a serial killer on the loose who is beating, killing, and raping innocent victims who seem to have nothing in common. Which made it harder to find a motive, which made it harder to find the perp. And then there was Maura. Maura Isles waltzed herself right into Janes life again after ten years. Jane had missed her something terrible, she thinks about all the things they used to do together. Like the time she tried to teach Maura to play soccer.

"Come on Maur! It's not that hard, just kick the ball past me into the goal."

"Jane, I've done this ten times and cannot get pass you." Maura sighed, slightly annoyed. "Plus it's cold."

"You've got this Maura, just kick." She said and prepared for the ball. Maura focused on the goal. She lined her foot up with enough room to get passed Jane, and kicked super hard. The ball went right pass Jane and into the goal.

"Yes!" Maura screamed and ran to hug Jane.

"See I told you that you could do it!" Jane said wrapping her arms around Maura and slightly lifting her off the ground. "I am so proud of you." She said and felt Maura snuggling into her.

"Thanks Jane." Maura mumbled and let go.

"Of course." Jane said wrapping an arm around her shoulder. "Want to try again?"

"Mm, yeah just one more though." She said and stood back. Jane grabbed the ball and rolled it towards Maura who stopped it with her tennis shoes.

"Okay you ready for this Jane Rizzoli?" Maura said all cocky.

"Yes Maura Isles, bring it." Jane said ready to catch it.

Maura leaned her foot back far and swung to kick the ball, unfortunately she slipped, and landed on her back.

"Shit Maur are you okay?" Jane asked running towards her and sitting on her knees, grabbing Maura's hand. "Come on Maur, say something." Jane said worried.

"Did I make the goal?" She asked and Jane chuckled.

"Not exactly." She said and helped her best friend off the ground.

"Oh man." Maura said, bending over and putting her hands on her knees.

"Maur.. You okay?"

"Yes." She reassured her. "It just knocked the breath out of me." She said leaning up and looking at Jane.

Jane smiled sympathetically. "I'm sorry."

"For what?" Maura spoke smiling. "Jane this is the first time I've ever played soccer, and even though it's freezing and I busted my ass it was a lot of fun." Maura said and Jane busted out laughing, mainly at Maura's cursing. She never cursed.

"Well I'm glad you had fun." Jane said hugging her. She didn't have to hug her, she knew that, but give her any excuse to touch the honey blonde and Jane used it. "How about now we go back to your place and we can make hot chocolate or something, it feels like Alaska out here."

"Actually, Alaska's temperature right now would be somewhere around-"

"Maura I was kidding." Jane said unlocking her car and throwing the soccer back in the back.

"Oh." Maura said and blushed a little. "We may have to run by the store, I believe I may be out of hot chocolate."

"That's fine." Jane said and turned the heat on as the drove to the store, Maura praising about her goal she made the whole way there.
