"This place is really growing on me." Maura said as her and Jane sat in the Dirty Robber after solving a case later that afternoon.

"We honestly come here a lot." Jane said taking a gulp of beer. "Frost and Korsak should be coming in soon. Oh and Frankie."

"You would think after months of coming here you'd get tired of it." Maura said. It's been about five or six months since Jane and Maura were reunited. Jane hasn't told Maura about her feelings yet, and Maura hasn't told Jane. After a while they immediately went back to be very close. Always having breakfast in the morning together, and usually dinner.

"We've been coming here for years to be honest." Jane said. "I don't think I'll ever get tired of this place."

"I'm glad Sargent Korsak is buying it."

"Bought, just the lease doesn't refresh for another month. So he doesn't get it until then."

"Oh-"Maura started but was cut off by her phone ringing. "Sorry one moment." She said.

"It's fine." Jane said eating a fry.

"Hello?...hello mother." Maura said and Jane tensed. She hadn't really asked Maura about how her parents were. She didn't really want to, she didn't care for them. "Um.. No. No, I don't know mother.." Maura sighed. "Yes it's fine mother..no I am not upset... I love you both as well. Goodbye."

"Everything okay?" Jane asked when had Maura hung up.

"I suppose." Maura nodded taking a drink of her wine. "They were going to come down and visit, but they suddenly got busy." Maura shrugged.

"What could be more important than you?" Jane blurted out before she thought about her words.

"Some art gallery opening, for one of my fathers best friend."

"I'm sorry Maur." Jane said. "Sorry I shouldn't of-"

"It's fine, Jane." Maura assured. "I loved you calling me that. I miss it, honestly." Maura said and Jane smiled.

"I liked calling you that, I think I'll start it back up."

"Good." Maura said smiling back at her. "But anyway no it's fine, after they told me I was adopted this sorta thing happened more often then it did before I found out."

"I'm sorry, honestly I am." Jane said. She very well remembered the day Maura found out she was adopted.

"Yes Ma, I turned the oven on and pulled the chicken out to defrost." Jane said laying on the couch, wishing her mother would get off the phone with her so she could watch the game.

"Alright, well your father and I will be home with the boys in a couple of hours. See you then."

"Okay Ma." Jane said. "Drive safe, it's storming out there."

"Alright Janie, I love you."

"Yeah, love you." Jane said hanging up the phone and sitting it on the coffeetable. Not a minute later the doorbell rang. "Ugh." Jane groaned getting up to see who was at the front door. She opened the door to a sight she wasn't expecting to see. "Maur?" Jane said worriedly.  She was soaked head to toe, her makeup was smeared but Jane couldn't tell if she had been crying or if it was because of the rain.

"H-hi, Jane." Maura said looking at her feet.  Yes, defiantly crying.

"Maura what the hell? It's freezing cold and it's storming!" She said pulling the soaking wet sophomore into her house. "What happened are you okay? Wait, how did you get here?" She asked looking for a car in her drive way but only seeing her own.
