I hate how we always end up arguing. Ever since we officially got back together, things have taken a sudden turn. I find us arguing more than talking things out. The sex doesn't feel the same, especially when we make up, I feel like I set myself up for another argument. Don't get me wrong, I love Lex, but right now, love doesn't seem like enough for her. I try, I really do, but after a while of trying, you get tired of it. I think we should take a break to be real. It was later that day, I had been out working to waste time. I walked in and was hit by the smell of a meal being prepared.

"Hey." Lex said lowly messing with her hands

"What up?" I said

"I made you dinner." She said running her hands over her thighs

"I see. Smells good. What you make?"

"Chicken, Mac and Cheese, Mashed Potatoes." She said

"You ain't put no poision in this, did you?" I asked looking at the food

"No." She tapped my shoulder, "I'm sorry."

Wait. Was I hearing straight? Lex just said she was sorry....

"Come here." I patted my lap, "I know you worry about me running the streets, but trust me, it ain't what you think. I ain't into no funny stuff or anything, I just help Mike with his music."

"I just worry about you. I don't want nothing to happen to you." She rubbed my face

"Everything will be okay. Don't worry. I'm coming home to you and my daughter. Remember that." I kissed her, "Okay?" I lifted her head by her chin

"Okay."

"We actually need to talk. We are in a stage in our relationship where it seems like all we do is fight and make up."

"I didn't realize that's all we've been doing this whole time." She said

"Instead of arguing, lets talk. We are two people in a relationship, with a little girl to look after. We love eachother right?"

She nodded yes.

"Then let me hear you say it then."

"I love you Chris. I love you more than words can explain."

She sure does have a way of showing it. Actions speak louder than words.

"I should be the one saying that." I laughed

"Well say it."

"I don't need to. I got other things to show. Like the ring I'm gonna put on your finger, the term I use to show that you belong to me. You my wife already, but you ain't even know it."

"You changed drastically. Before you was talking about you ain't never getting married, now look at you. You're engaged to me."

"Love can do things like that. Make you change your mind because you find that one person who can make you change without even attempting to."

"Awwwww. You wuv me?"

"Yes bae. Your an amazing woman. I honestly don't know where I'd be if it wasn't for you. You're one of the honest people I know and I'm blessed to have you."

Alexis

"Yes bae. Your amazing woman. I honestly don't know where I'd be if it wasn't for you. You're one of the honest people I know and I'm blessed to have you." He said, "I wouldn't trade you for a damn thing." He said

"Really?"

"Yes. We just gotta do us and stop worrying about all the other shit that's going on." He said rubbing my back, "I love you." He said as I pecked his lips multiples of time

"I love you too." I said in between pecks

"I'ma finish my dinner and make sure the house is secured."

"Okay." I said pecking his lips one last time.

I went upstairs and thought about our conversation. Something is keeping us from doing us in our relationship.

"Bae, what are you doing?" I called out but got no response, "Chris?" I got worried so I went downstairs. "Chris?"

"Let me call you later." I heard Chris say lowly

"Chris?" I repeated

"Yeah?" He answered

"What are you doing?"

"Making sure the house is locked up." He said, "Come on." He grabbed my hand

The Next Morning

I was awaken by a loud banging. Chris was out cold and the knocking grew louder and louder.

"Chris? Wake up." I shook him

"Hmmmm?"

"Chris?"

"What?" He looked at me, "What the hell is that banging?" He looked at the clock. It read 9:42 exactly.

"Go see who it is." I pushed him

"Fuck man." He mumbled grabbing his shorts and his gun

"I thought you got rid of that?" I asked him

"Why would I do that?" He asked walking out

Clearly there's somethings that he thought I was kidding about. I grabbed my robe and followed behind him. He looked through the peep hole and put his gun away and opened the door.

"Hello, we're sorry to interupt you so early in the morning. We have a message to deliver to an Alexis Williams. We found her current resident here." The male said

"Yes?" I answered as Chris opened the door more

"We have here for you your father's dog tags and a flag."

"Where is my dad?" I asked

"He came up missing on a tour and is presumed to be dead."

"What?"

"I am terribly sorry that I have to inform you about this Ms. Williams." The male said

I didn't know what to say. I wasn't close to my dad for the last 3-4 years and now he could be dead.

"Baby, are you okay?" Chris asked me

I had been crying for the last 3 hours and Chris has been trying to comfort me, but there seemed to be nothing that he could do for me. My Dad is the last parent that I have left.....

Poor Lex. Wth Chris talking bout?? By the way, sorry for slow update, I've been slacking, a busy schedule, but I promise I'll find more time. I'll try to update tomorrow too.
