"Had a meeting with this guy."  Chris said

"About what?"

"Some new nigga that wants me to go half with him on the business." He said dipping his fries in ketchup.

"Nigga sound stupid. What he offer?"

"Says he's got connections around the world, but I ain't falling for that shit."

"Connections? He would be up in New York or something with all that."

"Shit don't add up, does it?" He said getting up to dump his trash. "I'll see ya'll back at the warehouse." He said as I followed him out. "I parked down the street, they had this packed earliar. Meet you at the house." He said before walking off. Just as I was about to pull off, I heard gunshots. I sped out the parking spot and down towards the way Chris walked and saw him face down on the sidewalk. I quickly dialed 9-1-1.

"Chris, stay with me. Ambulance is on their way." I said

"I gotta call her" I thought pacing back and forth. I pulled out my phone and dialed

"Hey Dion, wassup?" Lex spoke into the phone.

"Lex, come to the hospital quick!" I said

"What's wrong?" She asked

"It's Chris... He's been shot." I said hoping she wouldn't cry.

"I'm on my way." She said before the line disconnected.

Expect the unexpected...

"What happened Dion?" I turned around to see Lex coming towards me.

"I don't know." I said knowing that this would be a big problem.

"What do you mean you don't know?" She looked at me like I was stupid.

"Lex, calm down. Take a seat." Key said looking at me.

"Where the kids at?" I asked Key

"With the baby sitter." She said as I turned to see Mike walking in with Sevyn and Mama J.

Alexis

After waiting hours for some news, the doctor finally came.

"Family of Christopher Brown?" I looked up

"How is he?" Dion asked.

"He's doing pretty fine for bring shot 7 times."

"7 times?" I damn near screamed

"Can we see him?" Key asked

"He made it out of surgery, we'll have to wait til he is placed in a room." He said as Mama J clutched my hand.

"Relax baby. He should be fine." She said rubbing my back.

"I just wish he would leave this life alone. Caden is only a month and he could've lost his father today." I said

"Hopefully this gets through his thick ol skull." She said before laughing lightly. "Go ahead and get some rest... I'll wake you when you can see him." She said

"Okay. Maybe sleep will make this a little easier." I said

"Chris is awoke." I said coming out the room. Everybody has been waiting to see him awake. They brought balloons and flowers and all kinds of things for him.

"My boy made it." Michael said busting in.

"Calm down boy. You know these rooms are small." Key said

"How you feeling?" Dion asked mexmlm, 

"I'm just glad he made it." I said looking at him. He had the biggest attitude on his face.

"Come on Chris... Lighten up." Dion said as I followed his eye path to Sevyn. Why is he staring at her like that?
