Skeletons In The Closet Part 1

Lex has been down these last couple of days. I wish there was something I could do to make her feel better. My Momma kept Ci Ci for a couple more days. I didn't want her to see her Mom so down. I decided to cook Lex a nice dinner and try to get her out of her funk. She's only gotten up out of bed to go to the bathroom. She snuggles up closer to me than ever before. I could feel her heartbeat beat with mine, but she just was out of it. I had to take care of some things at the warehouse, but I scheduled that for another time.

"Baby, can you come here? I got something to show you." I sat next to her on the bed, "Bae?" I placed my hand on her side. She looked at me and then back at the wall. I sighed as I realized that all I have done has gone to waste.

"You ever felt like everything you loved got taken away from you?" She spoke after moments of silents

"One moment of my life" I said

"I lost both of my mothers already and now I might be losing my dad." She said as tears streamed down her face, "I'm basically all alone."

"You got me and Ci Ci and that's all you need. I hate to see you down Alexis. I feel that my job as your man isn't being put to good use. I'm suppose to hold you close and tell you that everything we'll be fine and that everything will go back to normal." I said as I grabbed her hand, "Bae, be strong. They'll find him and everything will be good."

"I'm trying." She sniffled

"Come on downstairs and eat. You need some real food." I got up as she slowly got up

"You made this?" Lex asked once we were finished

"Yeah. I tried the best I could." I laughed

"Well, it was good. Thank you." She smiled lightly

Then Let Me Know by Aaliyah came on through Pandora and I know Lex was taken back.

"This song..." I trailed off

She looked at me as I walked towards her. She wrapped her arms around my neck as I pecked her lips and hugged her.

"Thank you for trying to cheer me up babe." Lex said once we were in the room

"You're welcome baby." I said coming from the bathroom, "Now, time for this movie." I said getting in bed with her

Everything this man does now just makes me fall more in love with him. He's became more affectionate and more passionate in our relationship. I can't lie, it's good to see that he is becoming more involved in our relationship, but he isn't the same Christopher that I fell in love with. As Chris got in the bed, I scooted closer to him and laid on his chest as he wrapped his arm around me. I didn't wanna watch the movie but it seemed like I had no choice. I had a different activity in mind but looks like it wouldn't be happening. So I sat there and listened to Chris's heart beat as it put me to sleep. When I woke up, it was pitch black in the room and Chris wasn't in bed. I was too tired to do anything but look at the clock. 3:07 in the morning. Then I fell back asleep, only to be awaken to Chris stubbling in the room, flopping on the bed and wrapping his arm around me. He smelled like Weed and liquor. I know he ain't go where I think he went.

When I woke up a few hours later, Chris was knocked out on the floor with his pants off and his shirt half way on. This nigga goes and gets fucked up after I was feeling like shit last night? Where the fuck we do that at? I went downstairs so I wouldn't be tempted to beat his ass. Hell, I even left the house to go visit Key, and go get my baby.

"Hey girlie." Key said hugging me

"Hey." I hugged her, "Tell me why I almost shoved my foot up Chris's ass this morning?"

"Weren't you guys cool?" She asked

"Until he went out and got fucked up, and then came home and laid in my bed." I said

"You two are always going at it." Key laughed

"He get on my nerves." I gritted through my teeth

"Don't they? That's why we love them. You heard from Michael?"

"No. I heard from Chris he's trying to really get a deal."

"He's nice. Dion took me to the studio with them the other night and I was amazed."

"So they just sit in a studio all day?" I questioned

"No, we didn't move back for that. Dion said Chris took over King's organization and is basically straightening out LA." Key said

"Chris did what?" I questioned, "I told him he was done with that life. I don't even see how you could accept Dion around Andre while he's out there killing people and selling dope to gangs."

"Lex, chill. Dion knows what jobs he can and can't do." She said

"I can't believe you right now." I sighed

"The money is good and they've been doing this for the last 3 years. Why complain now?"

"Did you forget what Chris went through 2 years ago? He almost died."

"But he didn't. You gotta accept the fact that that's how ya'll get ya'll money."

"I gotta go. Picking up CiAira from Chris's Mom's." I said grabbing my things

"Call me later." She said before I walked out

"Hey Mama J." I said to Ms. Joyce

"Hey baby. How are you feeling?" She asked hugging me

"I'm fine. Just praying that everything goes back to normal."

"That's what's best. Just know that Momma J is here for you."

"Thanks Momma."

"I'll go get CiAira from her nap." She got up

Atleast I have somebody to run to.

She founds out about Chris's occupation. Hmmmmm, oooooh Chrisssssssssss.!!!! Aha, I know Lex better keep that mouth shut tho...
